I was very excited to play this game even with all the bad press...I loaded from online and got ready to play and my comp couldnt handle it..I exceed the minimum requirements and have all the current downloads...I played for a few hours on the lowest possible settings with terrible clipping and terrible graphics (b/c low settings, I dont want to play a games i dont like to look at).
Sad to say the least, I was really excited about this game..but i am not going to spend another 300$ to upgrade my comp further just for this game..
I cannot speak for game play..didnt have enough of it to make opinion...Maybe in the future when i get a new comp I will try again..but probably not..Looks like a really awesome game..

Yup,
I figured AoC will have huge system requirements and I will upgrade my comp or buy a new one for that game...Should have said that in original post..I just wasnt going to do that for VG..I really did like the look for VG too...

No amount of system upgrades can fix whats wrong with Vantard... you should have listened to the press, usually thats not the best way to go but the OVERWHELMING bad press should have told you something... sorry about your 50 bucks

Hehe I have ordered a new rig, only to find out that the OS(Vista Ultimate) and graphics card (8800GTX 768 MB) is supposed to be unstable with this game. When I get it, I'll try it out...if it's still unstable, I'll try out for something else...
So dear SoE, you have until beginning of july to fix it up

Well, I do not blame you if you cannot play Vanguard.
Btw, I heard that the performance issues are supposed to improve remarkably with Update 2 or the upcoming patch. You might seriously consider giving the game a look then.
Crashes, lag, hitching, etc. is super annoying. No doubt.

Good idea to the op. Don't waste/spend your money just to play this game it won't matter. Many people like myself spent money upgrading for nothing. The game plays bad no matter what computer you have plus and more importantly, this game is terrible with a capital T.

Seriously no machine can run it smoothly? Well, your are wrong because my machine runs it just fine. By the way calling this game Vantard just makes you sound childish.My system specs you may ask well here they are...
