Any current (or even upcoming) games fit my tastes?

I haven't been able to play much in the way of MMOs since I went to college. Before that I played EQ extensively, and I loved it. I cannot now, however, as, for whatever reason, EQ doesn't support mobile graphics cards. I can play it windowed, but there are tons of strange textures drawn in.

Anyway, I now have time to play. What I'm looking for is as thus:

-PvE based.

-Good mix of solo and group gameplay. I enjoy both, with maybe a slight lean towards solo unless (like EQ) there is some absolutely awesome dungeons.

-Good customization and a long time. AAs were perfect, they really were. Anything similar would be awesome, or just something that could prolong the life of the game significantly.

-Good animations. I dislike EQ2 and Vanguard not so much for lack of content or performance issues, but just because they have absurd looking combat and spell animations that just totally put me to sleep (EQ2 monk is the sole exception). Vanguard is especially guilty of this. Why a game that came out circa 2000 has much better combat animations and spell effects boggles mind.

-Not conducive to button spamming. I prefer auto-attack making up a good portion of the game. Having to press a certain skill every 1-2 seconds doesn't make a game any more fun, nor does it make it have more strategic depth. Furthermore, it takes away from your ability to chat with your friends and groupmates, which is the primary reason I enjoy MMOs.

Any suggestions would be great. Anyone who enjoyed EQ1 (more specifically, a beastlord or bard. Best two classes in MMO history), what have you enjoyed since that brings some of that back?

Thanks!

So auto attack and sit there and watch is the same as having to press buttons that trigger skill/spell?    Are you sure?

Having to press a button to make an action makes one be more tactful, not to mention makes you use your brain.   Personally I would rather be pressing buttons... otherwise I would fall asleep with bordom.   You said it doesnt add stratagy...  I would re think that.  one skill being activated at the right time could keep you from dieing or help out your group.. you get it no?

Pressing buttons at the correct time does increase the strategic value of a game. Pressing them every single second does not. It merely makes the game a clickfest that totally destroys your ability to talk to your group unless you're using Teamspeak or something of it's ilk.

A well placed ability every so often is great, pressing them as nearly your sole method of playing your class makes it monotonous and rote.
