this might sound stupid, but i just havnt found a clear answer anywhere.
is it only gonna be: Dwarf vs. Greenskin, Empire vs. Chaos, and High elf vs. dark, or is there gonna be times when you can, for example: have a dwarf fight chaos or a high elf fight a greenskin or have like an epic battle between all 6 races?

It is order vs. destruction and you will be able to kill any of the opposite faction that you want.

Meaning:
As Greenskin you can kill High Elves, Dwarfs and Imperials. Same with a Chaos Char or a Dark Elf.
As one of Order's Chars you can kill Dark Elves, Greenskins and Chaos, respectively.
You can travel freely to any Battlefield, so as Greenskin you can participate in the High Elves vs. Dark Elves war and so on and so forth.

but by doing that you will be leaving your own city exposed.
your town probably isnt going to be exposed, npcs are supposed to help even out and if a few dwarfs leave to empire theres still probably some empire/elf going to dwarven city. There are still probably going to be more famouse battlefronts like dwarf/greenskin or many other races might help out a losing city or winning city obviously to help loot
Jeff Hickman stated something that gave an estimate of 2-4 hours before you were able to go adventure with your Dark Elf buddy as an Orc.
