Yes another boob post (art)

I dont often comment in forums about my opinions one way or the other.. there is gonna be a billion people who agree or disagree and really it doesnt matter.. but for some reason i was bothered about all the controversy over the succumbus picture..

I feel a lot of people are missing out on the purpose, which is the beauitful artwork and feeling behind it. It is art, pure and simple and im not even an art junky... it is not porno. I love being able to look at the screen shot and FEEL what the graphic designer wants me to understand about this enemy without ever having to tell me. Shes going to be evil.. shes going to be seducing with a womans scorn and she will smile as you die while she licks her lips.

Being able to feel that from one photo means to me that the designers are working hard.. and not only that, but accomplishing so much toward the environment and overall feeling of the game, i absolutely cant wait to play this.. why cant october come after june?

So for all the people out there complaining about it being nude, take into account the intension.. to give you a further understanding of the depth of concept creation that has gone into its everyday monster, not to give your 13 year old a hard on..

And just as a side note.. Diablo 1 had succubus with boobies first... and plenty of parents let their kids play diablo lol (not that i want kids playing anyways)

cya guys later

the game has a mature rating. whats the big deal with boobies? Typical american society. Sex is bad violence is good. im american too btw, but that is how our society thinks. Its absolutely ridiculous

Mom: "Honey, little timmy saw a vangina!"

Dad: "Thats no good son, watch this man get all of his limbs chopped off and bleed to death like a stuck pig"

Mom: "Oh thank you honey, our family is normal again"

Timmy: "i like to hurt people! heheheehahaha"

But yes, it is ART. there isnt anything wrong with it. I'm sure the designers werent going "huhuhu" while making the game model.

Although I get what you are saying, I don't believe that is usually the case.  I think for the most part, the parents that protect their kids from violence probably also try and keep 'em away from anything sexually explicit.  I have to agree with what you guys are overall saying though.  If parents or whoever is so upset, just don't let your kid play it.  It's rated M for a reason.

If the game is upfront then why not? We have a sports stadium being built in a town near here and there is an uproar over topless bars in the area. But the "cheerleaders" 6 inches of extra material sexy grinding outfits are fine???  We are blind. They sell sex, they sell sex, they sell sex and they sell tires using sex. I have even seen nudity in makeup ads! Sex sells and it will sell this game. I will be sold a game if its fun, gore/sex or not, and there is a purpose and individuality! I think the original post is DEAD on. We can see 50 people a night in simulation death but none in simulation being made!

And as for art...I love what Rick Steeves, from one of the PBS travel shows, or one of his producers said. (I am going to try to quote) "Its funny how art that has been public art for 2,000 years in Europe cannot be shown at all on TV in America right now."

    Weeeeeeeeeeee...

    What controversy?

One of the devs said that it was just censored because while AoC will be rated mature (and uncensored), the AoC website is not.

    Really not a big deal.

     *Edit*

nevermind though you were talking about something else.
