Hey all, I have been looking into this game for a while now, and heard a lot of great things about this game. I really would like a large world to be able to explore and really just have fun. My only concern is the pvp, if there is any how is it? I will be buying this game soon if many of you feel that it is a game that I could spend my time having fun. Thanks for reading, hope u get back to me soon about this.

PvP is more along the lines of player monsters versus each other, there's no real PvP but the system they have in place is fun. LOTRO is very fun game but I really don't think its a game for players merely concerned with racing to reach the level cap. It is much more of game of taking your time, enjoying the lore and the community.
The game has a lot of good things going for it, but its not for everyone. It certainly will appear to the more casual gamer and though there is PVP, you gain no real reward for doing it (outside of reputation) but that's fine for many folks.

It's a great game, but if PvP is a big concern for you, it might not be for you. I love it, but I am not a fan of traditional PvP. I think the monster play has potential to be enjoyable PvP competition without all the normal class nerfs and ridiculous balance issues that go hand in hand with traditional PvP systems.... It is, however, very limited in scope at this time. It is restricted to one smallish zone, and as other have pointed out, it isn't very reward driven.
