I was doing some research hoping to find a new space-based mmo type setup, and i found some information that Richard Garriott, signed a contract with spacetime studios for a production of an mmo.

i don't think its Tabula Rasa as Tabula Rasa is a strictly Destination Games/NCSoft setup (Destination Games is NCSoft HQ in N.A. based in Austin Texas). While (from my understandings) Spacetime is a completely different entity all together.
I was just curious if my findings were wrong, and if this is Tabula Rasa that is being mentioned or if there really is a new mmo in the works entirly... i just found it odd that this "game" was only announced in March of 06' and that if it is TR that it went through production VERY quickly.
Sorry if this has been posted before, etc etc, just was wondering about everyones thoughts on that.
Thanks

It sounds like a completely different IP.
I contacted the company to see if I could get some more information. I'll let you guys know if I find out anything.

actually I remember reading that announcement and I also heard they were hiring, I heard at the time they had hired or was one of the founding members an old SWG developer, I have no clue who it was at this point my memory long forgotten who.
Their website is still up and they are still hiring people but no talk about, the latest press announcement is feb 2007. Garriott talks up a lot how they are lots of former employees of Wing commander, and SWG. Yet we do not know who.
Sometimes I wonder if the games industry lacks enough employees that are capable of leading from start to finish a product and if this is a company that lacks the key employees to actually progress in development. Just idle speculation of which I know nothing about the games industry.
