Exactly what the title says, me and my friend are looking into this game and are wondering how many people actually play? and which of the two, I believe, servers have the most people?

Well..there are two servers...my guess each server has no more than 400-600 on it....unfortunately about 25% are botters.
Actually there is about a total of 5 million archlord players world wide china ect
He was referring to the two English server's..not the korean/chinese server's.... AL is a lot more popular there.
right 400 - 600...more like 600 + seeing 137 people in the City of Tullan during the week on Gaiahon.
How many were afk at the trader....how many were 2nd or 3rd accounts....how many botters are still on....look at the starter cities...in beta there used to be 40-50 moonelfs who did not have names like asdfgh or wwweerr
now those names are the norm...not the exception....the game is still fun to play.....but it really has no future.... EP II has been delayed..again....we still have not gotten back emote sounds,still have that background noise..both problems have been around 8+ months. 
Who knows maybe codemasters might tell you how many registered users there are

No it hasn't as there hasn't been a date given for it to break ever since 1. Quarter was brocken...it's in live testing right now with large guilds from Brumhart testing it.
Codemasters don't reveal numbers to there games, therfore we will never know how many people play, bought or how much money they made threw a Codemasters online gaming product.
ahyes and to the starter citys, there aren't alot of asdhajawjhas. There are normal players and bots giving themselves names like Bob0190 or Gosht002
Durning day you'll find Brumhart server on medium.
We just had double xp and double drop weekend and Brumhart server was on medium all the time, from what we know of the official forum server cap is 5000 people.
So for all of you out there that think this game sux etc i can say online with EP2 being tested now we see more and more people coming back to game.

Yes, we strongly hope that more players will continue to come into the world of chantra with the new patch that is coming out for free to registered users.
Quite a few people play the game. I'd say it's alittle above average for a free MMO.
Above the average rpg? ArchLord has over 5 million world wide.

That maybe true....but this forum is basically about the two servers .
Well, I don't know if I belive this, but in an interview with mr. Ktat I was reading he announced that there have been over 100,000 registered users to join EP II Beta.

You don't register to join it, Codemasters choose the big Guilds on the Guild Ranking and invite them per E-Mail.
Server capacity is close to 5k....if there are 100k who are going to play EPII....even if as little as 10% play....both servers should be at capacity....only time will tell.
Yeah, I do not fully know where you got your information on 5,000 players to a server, but it does sound right to me. After you bringing up that point I don't know what Mr. Ktat was talking about in his interview with 100,000 players already registered for beta. Anyway I am not saying that anyone has complained about the players in ArchLord, but I am happy with the amount there is now, but I would love it if there were over a million players which would be crazy, because then you could call the game a true PvP experiance. I havn't had any problems with my trainings all the way up to level 70, but if the game did for some reason get way populated I don't know what would happen. Silk Road Online has become over populated to the point where they sell tickets so only certain players can 100% get onto the server, but what if it came to the point where everyone in that game had a ticket
. I am happy ArchLord is not over populated more than I am sad.
1. Game play lag may increase/external factors
2. Servers might become full to the point where you would have to wait to login
3. Training spots would be harder to find without PvP
4. I have read ( this may sound sad ) all of ArchLord TOS/In Game rules for about three hours and finally finished and you can and will be banned in this game for simple things like saying, "ass" or even offending a player without using vulgar language can and will result in a holding of your ArchLord account.

But, yet they do give you many ways to avoid harassment in the world of Chantra, so I don't understand why they decide to lock up your account for simple things such as an arguement

Do not engage in arguments! - Verbal arguments are not only a waste of time, leading nowhere constructive, but they also might open you to disciplinary action. The “he/she started it” defense holds no relevance with ArchLord Support and therefore your account may be indicted simply for a useless verbal argument.
Walk away - It may sound cliché, but walking away from a hostile player argument is often the best resolution. There are quests to be completed, mountains to be traversed, and powerful weapons to be discovered! All of these experiences and more await players in ArchLord. Why waste your time arguing with a player with all of these activities waiting?"

From what I remember that 5000 is the max capacity..but CM has it capped at a lot less.
AL maybe popular in Korea and China....but not in the US and Europe.
Your link shows a couple of players saying they believe with no real information behind it.
ArchLord may not be popular right now but what not is is yet to come and I will do all I can to see to it that those servers get full.
The original post reguarding the server capacity was removed a few days after it was posted...so was how the capacity is measured.
Only time will tell.
Oh, well lets not sit here any worry about what the server population is.

This game doesnt have alot of players, you'll see why if you buy it
I play Archlords and find it fun...... It's a great game in my opinion!
The only reason most people don't like other games is because they are still addicted to one game and want other players to know about it so they end up trashing the game. Please, don't come on these forums just to trash talk the games.

Players used to say that about Horizons,MCO,AC2,Vanguard,EQ II and a few other MMORPG's.
The biggest problem AL has is why would someone invest hundreds of hours in a MMORPG that has basically 2 "western" server's.
Right now with EP II being released the population shot up....only time will tell if it will stay that way.
Oh, well there is always going to be a group of at least 100 people who are in love with the game and stay with me so I am happy.
