This game will probably sell a few copys but it will never become as famous as it would if they waited a few years! The movies are good, but this game will probably suck pretty good. Since the graphics are bad and the controls won't be as good as they need to be.

Matrix was a great movie... Matrix II and III were just filler movies to make more money and were horible and went totally off the original concept of the first movie.

The game will probably suck as well and only market towards hardcore Matrix fans. I don't see this doing well if it comes out at all.

I don't get it, who do everyone hate reloaded and revolutions? All 3 of the movies very great, allthough number 1 was the best, but the 2 others was certainly not bad... am I the only 1 who thinks that?!

Now i agree, I liked them all three but like you said nothing can top the feeling and the "wow exprience" i had when i first watched the matrix. Nothing ca do better but that doesn't mean the others suck, i enjoyed watching them, good action movies. but the first is a legend.

i think the matrix movies are the best thing ever. i also think that this game will be great. some of you might think that the ending to the thirdsucked, that it really had no ending. in a way it did not. that is where this game picks up. its whate happens after the third matrix.

This game will flop, its already been dropped by at least one publisher.  Matrix was good, but 2 and 3 were just bad sequels.  Making a game based on it is just prolonging the agony.  I smell SWG.  Let it go, its dead.  This game is basically CoH, just with less detail.

I think its going to be a good game if its not mostly like a sim or just missions. Tha would be awsome if its like the movie if you have the real world and you can fly your own ship and the story is based on the movie along with the quests sorta like how ffxi quest goes along with the nations story but i dont think this is going to be a good game if they dont take a long time making it.

At this point in time, the game will ONLY revolve around happennings in the Matrix itself, not the real world.

Sorry, hate burt a lotta bubbles, but this game is gonna rule. The matrix is a great sci-fi setting, just begging for good, quality role-playing. With the amount of effort going into this, I'm confident I'll love it. Those of you who don't like the game, or the movies, do us a favor and go back to whatever fantasy game clone you prefer. Personally I'm sick of every game being basically the same.

Yeah, I'm sure at first there will be a lot of Neo wanna-bes...I'm sure when SWG went live, there were 1000 darth-lamers, and when Middle Earth goes live, there will be Leagolas-666 around every corner. But they'll get laughed out of the game fast.

I may end up eating my words, but somehow, I doubt it.

Oh yea, sure. Lame graphics. Lame engine too. You can't enter all the buildings and room in that city, and there are no loading times after the first one. Hello! Half the fun is waiting for the game to load .

Crap the publishers (which currently are WBs and Sega), it's Monolith developing this game.

And you really can't use the movies as a basis for evaluating the game. There isn't even the same dudes writing the story. The wb are just overseeing the storyline. Haven't you learned to properly check out the game? I know many people think it's all combat, combat, combat, but they haven't looked closely enough. There is crafting. You can go to clubs. This is an mmo in the matrix!

And whoever says the combat is lame, really isn't familiar with mmorpg's. Check out one of those trailers :

Yea, lame. I have been watching MxO since last year some time, and im telling you, this can't flop.

But of course there is a possibility of the game being cool for two months, and then boring. But flop is really impossible.

And then theres the non-clan clan the pwntouchables, they just gather together members who would like to roleplay. Though the name might be a bit off . But thats the point.

I believe this game is heading in the right direction. It is being co published by sega, and sega did pso 1, 2, and 3. So you know their servers should be up to par and their games will probably not be released buggy (given pso was console) so it should released when its clean.

My thoughts were this on the matrix saga:

The first one was original and cool. The second one had bad dialoguue, bad acting, and boring strung out action scenes. The third one tried to fight off star wars in terms of an epic sense. And, when you *uck with Warz' you *uck with a legend.

What I think:

The first movie: The best
second movie: the first time i watched i it was lame but after 2-3 times the blabbering actualy made sense and it was fun
Third movie: Pretty cool exept that trinity dies and all the sad stuff, but i liked it.....
Enter the matrix game: too bad with all those bugs and stuff, but the storyline filled in some empty holes in reloaded....
And finaly:
The Matrix Online: I cant wait to play it. The graphics on the movies sucked but i think this is going to improve(yust watch the screenshots) if they put in some real mmo chatting and stuff im going to play this game for years!!!!

First thing I will do when I get myself into the game, is to figure out where Hells Club is. There is supposed to be many movie locations in the game, and Hells Club seemed to be one of them.

I am once again eagerly anticipating this MMO after reading the review in the latest Computer Games magazine.

The only question in my mind is: can they pull off what they are promising.  If the answer is yes, this game is gonna rock!
