Hi, I've been thinking of getting this game. I was able to get my hands on a buddy key and got to try it out for a bit. I didn't get that far as I played every other day, but I suppose that's not a bad thing since I heard that this game is perfect for casual players. During the time I got to play, I had made a female elf lore-master and a human male burglar. I liked what I saw during the trial but had a few questions about the game before I buy. My first question is about the skills. Do they ever get nicer looking later on? I couldn't help but notice that every fighter-type character only had different types of slashes that didn't look really different, so does it get better as you progress? My other question was in regards to the animation, I thought the running and jumping animation for the females looked quite awkward, is that just me? And if not, do you thing Turbine would actually improve this later on, or just leave as is? My final question was about the community. I had heard and read that the general population in this game was quite friendly and mature, unfortunately for me, that wasn't my experience. I came along some really childish groups and started losing hope when I started seeing players with names like "Legalas" running around. I'm aware that every game will have the immature players, I simply want to know if a lot of people have had encounters with people like this. I really want to join a game with the least frustrating players as possible, lol. Any imput you could give to me would be much appreciated.

If you are from the EU codemasters have a rp server. You generally find more mature ppl on a rp server. And yes i do remember seeing someone called gimly ages ago , but i suppose names will be changed, especially ona rp server. But if you are US , then turbine dont have a rp server atm.
The fighter skills are pretty similar as they cant really shoot flames or whatever
but loremaster has some nice effects from its spells.
Animation:check you have these set to high in options or things look a little stiff. The jumping looks a bit odd on all races though.
The community is generally good,at least in EU anyway, but yeah, expect to see some legolas types around. Any game that has an elf race that can use a bow is bound to have a few leegolass types flating about.
Hey, thanks for your imput so far guys. Yeah I understand that the fighter-type characters can only have certain types of attacks, although I wish that they would have been given more variety in the attack animation to make up for it. I did enjoy the lore-master, as I've always gone with caster-type classes. So I'll probably get it once I get paid, the game is pretty impressive for one that only recently came out. I only hope that future updates can only make it better. Thanks again guys.
Give Turbine a call and ask their accounts department for a buddy key. Get 10 days to try it out and see if you like it.
