Considering coming back-- station pass and server move questions

Hi everyone,

I was one of those people that left Vanguard 2 months ago when the system was incredibly unstable and the game was full of bugs.  I did enjoy the game when it worked though, but I was lured away by free LOTR beta.

LOTR is a great game, but it was a game that does not, in my opinion, offer much more than a 1.5 month long trip to level 50.  Done.

Now I am playing WoW again waiting for that stupid SONY station pass thing to get fixed so I can re-sign up for SWG and Vanguard.

A couple of Questions:

--- Does anyone have any idea when it will be available again for new customers?  Right now you simply get a link that takes you a forum that says as of June 26 new station pass accounts can't be started, but it doesn't say when you can again.

---  I know about the server merges, but is there a precise date?  Does it benefit me to sign-up now with vanguard as a stand-alone subscription so I preserve my character name?

--- I am a level 19 cleric-- am I still going to be forced to group to do anything? Or has more solo content been added in the last two months?

--- I happen to have the same character name on a number of servers.  I did that this as a name-saving technique just in case of server merges.  Does anyone have an understand that they can share regarding how the mergers will actually go down?  For example, I thought we had to type /merge or something and then pick our destination server.  If that is true, have the actual merge dates been announced? If not, when would I want to delete the place-holder character on the destination server?

Sorry dont know anything about the station pass.  As to the rest.

 

Server merges.  Three weeks ago they said they hoped to have them out in 3 weeks, last week they said the merges should take place in 3 weeks.  So it's anyones guess when they'll happen.

No solo content has been added in that time, not really much in the way of content at all, mostly class balancing and a few bugs have been worked out.  Very little has been done since SOE has taken over, though they're promising a big one shortly, maybe this week.

They havent announced officially how server merges will work, except that whoever has been in the game and held the name longest will keep it.
