Well after having my head in eve online and lineage 2 for quite some time, I hear people talking about star wars galaxies once again. 
Last time I saw this game was during the julio torress days of nge and how they were making swg into a fps game. Now dont get me
wrong, I love star wars as the next person, but my star wars experience died when nge came out. My class was always broken which
was smuggler and it looks like its still is to this day. 
I am downloading this once proud game of fans again. Why am I downloading it? Well I kinda lost my disks or threw them away.
Whats the difference.
Going to check out the trial and I am going to keep an opened mind. Going to roll a bounty hunter this time since I hear you can pvp
and pull bountys on peeps. But lets see if I can tolerate the trial first. And visit my old home of bloodfin.

The bounty system is that if you're killed in PvP, under the right circumstances, I guess, you can put a bounty on your killer. During my vet trial I got killed once in PvP, and got the opportunity to put a bounty on one of the guys that ganked me in Mos Eisley.
Dunno if it ever got collected my vet trial ran out a day after I got kilt. Oh well. Didn't put much of a bounty up, only 50k, the guy needed help to kill my level 90 Jedi who was not wearing arbiter robes at the time, and I nearly got one of the guys.
CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Well I got through the trials, is'nt so bad as people claim it to be. It is however a game that was released in 2003, so soe managed to keep the graphics in check. People were saying the graphics are dated. Well in my opinion what the hell game are you play? Oblivion?
The game looks pretty damn good compared what it used to look like, but on the other hand, I am still tweaking my keymap to get a better feel for the game. There is alot of people running around in the space station -bloodfin-, but so far I hadnt had any problems getting a group.
Besides that I am heading to work today, yeah on the 4th
. Going to start on these legacy quests which seem to be mentioned alot about how boring they are when I get back. But so far so good, from my point of view that is.

As far as the game itself. I think it's really fun. Most of the negative press comes from disgruntled vets over the NGE fiasco. They have a point, but that has no bearing on the state of the game now. It seems a lot of people have gotten over the bad taste in their mouth and are coming back to this game. The amount of stuff to do and explore rivals a lot of the games out there. Try raiding Fort Tusken. Or Rancor hunting on Dathomir. The new beast master system has injected new life into the game as well.

Well I am finally up to cl51 with my new BH toon and I have to admit, it is fun, people said I shoulda went commando for leveling, but I
am liking this BH since smuggler is broke
and I am not too worried about racing to cl90. The legacy quest line helped me out immesley with help from a couple of old friends on the server for guidance.
Looks like I will be heading to kashykk for some more leveling. The walk thru help posts on this forum has helped out alot as well and I thank you for that.
I come to the conclusion SWG is what you make it, if you go in hating it, you will hate it. If you go in with a open mind and forget about the past, well you will enjoy it. I still dont enjoy the SWG space portion of the game, maybe because I am just a diehard eve online fan. But all in all I am still enjoying the game at cl51. I dont know why other vets besides me still trash this game after so many years, hell the old SWG we played ruled during its time (imo), but I guess some vets cant just let go of the past and still hold a major grudge with swg/la. (thats one hell of a grudge) LOL
I still miss the Skill level tree though, but its been so damn long ago, i dont even know what the hell we did in this game once we maxed our skills.. aka Melee Stacker or that kick ass combo Master Rifleman/Combat Med (that I do miss) on my alts.
Anyways, as I stated, I am having a blast with the game system now prior to that release of the NGE garbage.

Its really not that bad. If you going to solo it, it can be quite frustrating at first, but once you get it down, its pretty simple. Grouping with friends is always fun, but as we know, alot of mmorpg players today love to solo alot.
I believe kas was put together real sloppy ---> just an opinion of mine. I believe it was created for Jedi to hide from the Bhers in the old days when there was visibility in the game and Jedi couldnt group unless they wanted visibility and what Jedi wants that...
I would have to agree, I didnt much care for this place at all, however some of the rewards are unique.
welcome back. I hardly venture to kashyyyk as its one of the most flawed gaming worlds ever! Mustafar is the other extreme, fantastic place!

Some parts of Kashyyyk are cool, the one place that irritates me is the Rryatt Trail. I just don't care for that place.
Mustafar is fun, got everything done there except HK and that's my own fault. Targeting seems to be an issue for me there. Tabbing around doesn't bring up the closest enemy.
