Hello
I was checking out the sticky that lists free mmorpgs but it often times failed to specify if the game was browser based, or available without manual download. I'm talking about games like Runescape or Adventurequest...you don't need to manually download/execute any files in order to run the game...so you can play them from pretty much anywhere, right from you browser.
Does anyone know any games such as that, or where I can find a list of them?
Thank You.

RuneScape is the only good browser based mmorpg, adventure quest isnt an mmorpg. I dont know where to find a list of browser based mmorpgs, though.
Try typing it on Wikipedia or something.
?
rumblerace
fallensword
but havent tried them before
yeah...the problem with adventurequest is that it gets really dull after a little while, and besides, if you are using the free version, you can never log in a second time since they don't have much room for everybody and prefer to let on the paying members.
And dragonfable seems just like adventurequest.
I guess Runescape was the only worthwhile free browser-based game...too bad I'm tired of playing it.
only browser one i know of is Gothador
older brother plays it, he's in the no 1 cult on it or something

Gothador is a web-based MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Role-Playing Game) where literally thousands of people play online together. When you start, your character is visible in the middle of the game grid. You can then move to any of the eight directions around you, providing it is a valid place to move. Your character is then moved and the map is then re-centered around your character.
As well as moving around the world, you can also interact with other players by chatting, fighting and trading. As you progress, your character will gain experience and 'level-up' from which you gain points that you can apply to your base stats, such as Attack, Defence, Hit Points, etc. As you advance even further in the game, you may be able to evolve into an advanced character class, such as Vampire, Monk, Demon and Angel, and also gain many useful skills and spells to assist you.
As a final note, Gothador has a very strong community, and the IRC chat room is usually full of helpful players.
FYI the reason games have DL(able) content is it reduces Net connection stress, server stress and increases the games bandwidth. If a MMO with graphics has its files stored on your PC is doesnt have to host the images on it and have 100,000 people all accessing it at one time severely slowing things down. Instead it has a code programmed into the game to locate the files on the individual pc's most people have less than a 1MB internet all the time. Yeah sure your wireless card will say 10MB or 100MB all that means is if the technology was available or paid for to do that speed it could do it. In reality 1.5 MB internet is an upgrade which cost like 50-100 depending where u live. If you call a high-speed net company and just sign up for the service they will put you on a basic plan which cost 30-50 and will only be 256-512 bytes per sec sometimes 768 ... now on estimate 256 - 100-150 DL speed per sec 512 goes up to 400 and 756 up to 500 ... you will not really encounter a net speed that downloads at the "speed" you have and this I do not know why. Other games that are browser based at really 2d, low amount of content or turn-based. Enjoy the speed of gameplay just DL a Free 2 Play title.
