    I think they made improvements. Dropping you in a town without any hint or tutorial is not challenging. Its annoying.
    Don't think anyone said that was challenging, and there was a tutorial in the original EQ.


    Having to talk to every NPC to see if they have a quest or not is not challenging. Its repetive and its annoying
    Of course this isn't challenging, but it is a usual rpg method to have to talk to characters. In Morrowind you didn't have characters with exclamations marks above their head. This is distintive styles.

    I do wonder how much of EQ you did play when you say there was a lack of challenge in EQ. I personally think you quit early out of frustration and disgust out of its timesinks(understandable). There was plenty of challenge to be found in the game for most people. If you didn't find any, you weren't looking -plain and simple.

    In short, instead of killing mobs every day for money, you do the same quest every day for money. It's just as lame and stupid as farming, IMO.
    Oh right, disappointing then. Thought it may have had a questgiver which had like a different quest each day.
