Everyone who has seen Transformers should have seen this trailer. It was the one where these people are at a going away party in New York then they all hear the loud roar and run outside on the roof of the building they are in to see what it is. Then they see this huge explosion down town, loud roar again, the head of the statue of liberty lands in the middle of the street, cars are flying and landing all over the place, a huge chunk falls off of a building a block down the street and all general hell breaks loose. Everyone in the theater was pretty much saying holy shit at that point because it was totally unexpected. It was all shot with a hand held camera from the view point of a person actually there (Blair Witch style) and the effects looked damn real.

Its called Cloverfield, www.firstshowing.net/2007/06/29/jj-abrams-top-secret-trailer-for-cloverfield-in-front-of-transformers/
I cannot wait for this movie
Thought it looked pretty cool, it shows promise. Leaving it nameless makes it stand out and promotes interest, although.. it's rather silly to advert a movie that people don't even know what it is.
It was a smart move.

Hopefully this doesn't suck like Snakes on a Plane did.
The movie was about snakes being on a plane, it could not help but suck.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
yea noobs were getting pwnt left and right, i'm excited for it
Actually it is still officially un-named. They released a couple of false working titles for it, including "Cloverfield" but nothing official yet. IMDB still has it listed as un-named project 2008. Not Star Trek unfortunately.
Personally I liked the mis-direction in the trailer, but it's not like I haven't seen New York and the Statue of Liberty being destroyed before.
