So what happens to us long timer players who don't have anything they can spend $29.99 on in the store? I've bought all the editions, character slots and skill packs. What do I do to get this now? Let's hope they put it up for sale seperately or as a patch down the road otherwise we get shafted on this one.
If you've bought everything you can buy through their store, they better just give you the damn thing.
I've got all three games but not the PvP versions, and frankly I'm a little peeved they're not giving it away either.
Its NCSOFT so I expect the loyal players will be taken care of. If not there is always the xpack Eye of the North coming out.

I suspect the intention is to reward people who buy Eye of the North, as well as to encourage new folk to jump in and get a little more for their purchase. Nothing wrong with that...
The mission pack isn't due for release until November, and you'll get it if you buy anything between now and october 31st. So, buy Eye of the North and you're set.
That ain't "free"
At least over at Guru it's stirred up a lot of anger....and some of it is showing here.
Some of the anger is not appropriate...some is.
Some people have genuine arguments about the ability to buy in the online store...not being able to use other payment options...including some temporary credit cards (load them up once for use online with no risk) which don't currently work in it. Some people also don't have credit cards of any kind...leaving this offer out of their reach. These people probably have the best argument against it being online only.
There are some people complaining that it should be available offline, well...it's an online offer only...it's purpose is to encourage people to buy in the place where Anet can receive more of the profit...namely the online store.
Then there's some that want their online account activity up till now to give them credit retroactively for the amount required. Well to them I say it's a new offer...and they didn't include any retroactive provision. If you're a loyal player then you're probably getting ready to get GW:EN....your purchase of GW:EN online will fill the requirement as long as it's purchased within the time period.
Some people say the content should be free...to everyone. Not all content is free...have you paid for the other campaigns? It's up to Anet to determine what is free and what is not.
Some people are using this issue to complain for complaints sake...just ignore those people. Some people have legitimate concerns...Anet will probably address those concerns before the offer expires.
No it's not free...it is free with conditions...get over it. These kinds of offers are offered all the time by all kinds of companies. Not all the small content updates offered in Guild Wars will be free...it is up to Anet to determine what to charge for...it is their game and their work.
Wonder if it's really worth the money. I may consider buying some stuff from the shop (that I need), but only if the extra campaign truly is worth the extra bucks it would cost.
I've bought all 3 campaigns plus an extra character slot through the store and I think the mission pack should be free for me. If not then don't call it "free".
I think you guys missed the "For a limited time..." portion of that header. It's business and they are trying to get people to purchase GW:EN.... get over yourself.
I'm not signing this
I surpose that's business. But most hardened Guild War players will buy Eye Of The North anyway..... So why not just bundle it in? Nsoft store charges way too much anyway. You can get any of the GW's from Amazon for a third of the cost
If you bought everything in the store, that's great ! You're a valued customer and player.
But, if you read the release notes, you'll notice that it ends... October 31, 2007. The release of GW:EN (Guild Wars Eye of the North) which is in August 31, 2007 for $39.99 (US). That would be enough for Bonus Mission Pack I would say.
