Is there a way to play any version of this game in the US?

I have been reading alot of threads about ways to play this game and some say you cant play and some say that you can ony play using a proxy thingy that still wont let you play becaue it will be very laggy and you will get disconnected every few minutes. I am mainly hearing that the Euro Version cant be played but what about the Koren, Japanesse, Taiwain and China versions? I have read that some people are playing the Japanesse version with no lag and no problems at all. So my question is can somebody tell me how to play any version of the game and be able to actully play the game and with no lag or disconnnects? Reply or PM me

No there is no way to play this game in the US yet with out lag or disconnects.

Well I'm not so sure...

Took me a while but after much searching of translation websites and copying and pasting I was finally able to make an account on the japanese site. Assuming that the game doesn't have ip ban, I should be able to play.

 

the problem with making an account is that I do not have a japanese keyboard which makes typing out the text near impossible. I had to find dictionary/translator websites and match the symbols needed for the account verifications process. I can post some guidelines on how to make an account there but I'll hold off until it is verified that i can play.

I will say, the only part that you need japanese text is the part where like most systems that make an account the "garbled letters" which in japanese is pretty pathetic since as much as I know about the language, a single misplace line or angled incorrectly means something completely different. Anyway they have 6 characters that need to be inputted. After much trial and error I finally succeeded.

 

I'll post back here on my findings. As long as the game is f2p and no ip, (fingers crossed) I should be able to play.

Well i played using the proxy thing on the euro servers and i had no lag or disconnects in fact my toon was logged in for 24 hours at 1 stage whilst selling stuff but the catch is that you have to pay for the Proxy thing which is 5 per month if you dont pay then you will get lag and disconnects but 1 month will be enough to determine if ya like it or not and 5usd is not that much to lose imo.

You're definitely right, plus u have full support. I though about it but seeing as CO is now F2f (with other premium services) I thought I would be paying some serious bucks. Furthermore, I can try to play on the japanese server for free (I don't need language . I played ran online for half a year). It's worth a shot. Anyway, with metin 2 giving away CB keys like it's water and 2moon release days around the corner CO is seeming like a distant memory. Well, maybe not since I'm 50% done with the download

The game works but there was an error when I tried to log in and I couldn't understand it. I would have had to have my interpreter with me. I think it's still p2p. IDK though. I'm not motivated to check it out.

Now I'm trying the brazilian one. I understand a bit of it. I'll report back if it works.

 

Portuguese is similar to spanish and for the most part you will be able to manuevre around the website.

Does anyone know why we can't play this in the US? They obviously have an English version available and ready-for-market (since the UK is serviced), so what is the problem?

I can find nothing on their website about this, nor do any of the MMORPG zines that I've searched have any meaningful insights into what the delay is.

It's the license, they don't have the license to publish it in US. They only have the right to publish it for European countries. Unless they pay the developer more to publish in US or wait for another US game publisher to purchase license.

Basically to sum it all up, it's all about money~~~ The developer gets more money this way. Also about the translation, it depends who did the translation. If the developer did it, then of course all publisher should be able to get a hand on it. However, most of the time it's done by the publishing company and they are not just going to hand over their translation to other company for free so then again you might need to wait for another period for the other company to do the translation again. So again, it's all about money~~

Great news. you can play the brazilian one. Only issue I found was that I didn't know portuguese =P

 

But yes you can play it. I'm play 2moons though since I don't understand the other language, plus I can't have both games on this cpu or it will explode.

 

On the flipside. I love that game.

Only the best combat and combat graphics in all MMO's so far, nothing much ^^

but how do u register for the game on the euro website?

I keep on seeing screen shots of this all the time, they def. need to bring this to the US or have a way where you can have a smooth connection.

Well, 2 parts are right it does have good graphics and is (i bet and know i am right!) another generic game from Korea, if the graphics are good but the game stinks then i agree with spire23
