    Have you played it?

Or just seen some videos and screens?

Oh, and sure EQ2 is better .... it came out 3 years ago and was made for PC -.-

FFXI came out 5 years ago and it was meant to be playable in PC, X360, and PS2, wich makes it even harder to have graphics like EQ2.

It's your choice but i still say it is a waste of your money buying this game and paying the monthly bill.

I'm an ex-FFXI player, got a 75SAM and a few other jobs 60+. I stoped playing due to gilsellers (gold farmers) and i gave my account to a friend. He activated it about a week ago and i poped online and im glade to see that the gilseller problem has been sorted out, only a small amount of them are still around.

People saying that the graphics suck are to narrow minded to see the game for what it is, the story is by far the best ive had a chance to take part in. The story isnt like your skip the quest text and look at your quest log to see what need doing like WoW offered us. You really want to know whats going on with the story, which is one of the key feature in this game for me.

The player base is very friendly and helpful towards new player, the only new players they dont take to are the rude and stupid ones that dont want to learn and better them selfs in-game. The grind to 10-75 (really need a group past lvl 10 if you want to lvl fast, although some jobs can solo faster / more effective then others.) is long i admit, but i found the lvl grind fun for a change. Mainly because all the zones you would grind in were interesting and the mobs were fun to fight in groups (apart from crabs T_T). Dont let the lvl grind turn you away from the game, if your playing with your girlfriend you can duo some while you are looking for group to take on bigger challenges or do Story Missions.

Alot of features in FFXI are well ahead of there time, the cross platform MMO and the ability to change your class when ever you want with out penalties are rare or none existent in MMOs today.

Give it a try, get up to lvl 30 unlock some advance jobs and try the mid 30s.

    Current MMO: Nothing
    Waiting For: FireFall, GW2
