Ok well I got this game on the weekend..

Only have acceess to my second pc on the weekend..

AMD 3000+

512mb 3500 DDR

6800gs

nvidia sound

So not all that good really lol installed the game .. took a bit of tiem because of its size, when it was installed i started up the launcher and that had to update a bit... with that done the client started up.. oh wait we have to do a full file scan lol this took quite a bit of time :( they really need to speed that up a bit.. once that was done it had a loads of downloads to get.. this tool another 1hr 30 mins mainly because of my arse connection with my second pc only 2mb...

Finally finished updating, I did the stupid thing of then gonig into preferences and clicking update while playing then clicked apply.. now for some reason it had to do another full file scan haha :)

Character Creation: OK when loaded up i started to create a character...first glance this looked really nice loads of options, different races different classes and loads of slider  bars to change what my character looked like, but when I started sliding the bars i noticed how silly some of the options where.. one for cheek bones i put it to the extreme and it made point triangle things on my cheeks.. just looked silly.. also noticed the character models where not all that.. but could have been because of my low system specs.. Anyway finally created a character a Barbarian Rogue.. :)

In Game: Took a while to load up the game and then I was greated by a black landscae.. tho this did start to load up slowly once it had finished i was greated by a very good looking world..

Movement seemed a bit clunky but that could have been because of my system specs. In there starting area there where lots of missions to do so that was a good start.

Inventory is quite nice no issues with the interface at all, abilities easy to access and drago to the hot bar, within the options you can also enable extra hot bars.. tho I did notice later on that they get in the way of some extra skills like the combat finishing moves.

Combat itself was quite standard really same as all other mmorpgs... tho you do get a few extra things liek the calin skills.. basically a finishing move.. looks like you can only use it at random times tho..

The animation was not the best I have seen also the water interaction well it dont exist..

The map system is not bad at all if you get a quest and you have to go some place it will be put on your map.. makes it quite easy.

Played for about 2 hours jsut messing around and got myself to lvl 7, you can go and buy new skills from the trainer but your main skills 1 hand slash or whatever gets better from use.

Finally on sunday I managed to get back to my main PC and got it setup on here..

AMD 3800+ Dual Core

2gb of DDR RAM

geforce 8800 320mb

creative Audigy sound card

ok with these specs of course everything looked much better, movement worked fine but ti was still missing some polish and i was unable to run the game maxed out.. this does not suprise me tho as i never expected to be able to run a newish mmorpg maxed out..

One thing that does bother me about this game.. it looks and plays a lot like EQ2 but EQ2 is better developed and graphics wise is on par if not better.. plus it also runs much better without any issues..

The world in vanguard does look big so I am gonig to carry on playing at least for my 30 days trial... I cant see anything major thats wrong with the game yet but it dont feel like its giving anything really new to mmorpgs.. yet..

I have not had time to mess around with the diplomacy system or the crafting in game... Also I have only come accross a few other people so far and grouped with 1 person.. this might get better tho :) we can hope.
