Actually they have pushed it back once. The 10/30/07 date is the pushed back date. I don't remember when the date was originally going to be.
Point being, each game has been pushed back once. They haven't "kept pushing the Warhammer release date back" and hopefully neither game will get pushed back again.
--------------------------------------------- I live to fight, and fight to live.
I would almost say definalty yes for oct 30th. It is the first time, for instance, that they posted the date as official. If they have enough of the bugs worked out in technical beta then all they would have to worry about in open beta is stress tests and fine tuning, so they should not need a long open beta. either way the game will come out... trust me, you thnk the devs arent itching to see their "baby" hit the market
that are the devs just like to watch us squirm a bit; after 70 hours a week of programing it probably gives them some form of entertainment watching half of us whine about the release date lol
"Age of Conan – Hyborian Adventures is an Online Action RPG scheduled for Windows in the first half of 2006"
This is written about AoC under Overview on mmorpg.com. This entry has not been changed since the first announcement of AoCs development.
So it has been scheduled back at least 1,25 years now. Thats a long Time, but i think the devs will push it back again. The reason is, that not all game mechanics seem to work properly. What i mean is, that we have not seen the city building or some of the other breaktrough features in action; except the fighting system..
I think that the parts of the game i mentioned are realy difficult to realize. In particular the AI controlled citys and battlekeeps..

LOS ANGELES — May 9, 2006 — Today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Microsoft Corp. and top publishers worldwide unveiled the highly anticipated games lineup for the Microsoft® Windows® and Windows Vista™ operating systems. Microsoft also announced plans to bring the Xbox Live® game and entertainment network to the Windows platform.
Microsoft Game Studios and other leading publishers, including Electronic Arts Inc., NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., THQ Inc. and Funcom, will provide groundbreaking gameplay experiences for Windows Vista gamers across numerous genres, including role-playing games (RPGs), first-person shooter (FPS), real-time strategy (RTS), massively multiplayer online (MMO) and simulation. The showcase lineup for Windows Vista will include the following games:
•
“Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures” (Funcom) is an online action-RPG with a mix of a deep, story-driven single-player experience and massive and brutal multiplayer end game, bringing to life the ultimate representation of the “Age of Conan.”
This was the first mention of it being associated with Windows Vista.... technically it wasn't even announced in association with Windows Vista until Q2 '06 /shrug...

Well...
You do realize that back in May of 2006 we got to see some video of the hive AI that built the NPC city correct? Source I'm not going to say what it's state is, because I have not seen it since then, but to suggest that it's not working properly is rather silly isnt it?
Between E3 and Leipzig you'll see raid dungeons, PvP and a few other things.
If you have solid examples of things that you dont think are working based on any evidence (video or some preview you've read would be great) as opposed to assuming they are not working just because you have not seen 'em, I'd love to know.
