I am looking for....

Hello everyone.

I am looking for a new game that can keep my attention.

I have played alot of games...

Some of them being Wow, EverQuest2,  Guild Wars, Dofus, Tibia, and the one that kept me the longest RuneScape.

I really want a new game, RuneScape (god bless their soul) is not the greatest game and I wish to stray away from it.

I want a game that has similar game play to RuneScape, but the beauty of Guild Wars.

Fantasy would be nice.

Oh yeah, please not the that is all pvp, kinda not my style.

So if anyone knows any games that you think I might like, please tell me!

Thanks!

-Lone

Well, Lord of the Rings Online always reminded me a bit of Guild Wars ( the characters ) and its a much better looking game. Also fantasy, there is PVP but its not conventional and some argue that its not pvp at all so that works for you.

Its an entertaining game, give it a try if possible.

(that being said i quit before my first month ended)

LoTHRO did look to me like it would be a nice game. I mean look at all the scores it's receving, 9/10 here, 4.5/5 there...So thisa game was top on my list and what you have told me makes it a little better.

    Anyone else?

LOTRO might be an ok option.  Its very well made and could entertain you for a while.

One bit of advice... I found the game very boring... I heard the only way this game will entertain you is if you constantly group.  Solo works fine and will level you up fast enough but you'll fall asleep from the boredom.  The combat is really slow and boring except when in a group.

The graphics are great and I hear a lot of the higher level content is very good.  When it comes right down to it there really isnt anything else out there to play till some of the upcoming titles release... many of us are bored to death and very anxious for something new.

This game is definitely a WoW clone... very similar game mechanics.

I have got to tell you.  I do not know why LotR has such high ratings. I think the game is awful, boring, nothing very sophisticated about it .  Nothing new.  (shrugs)

I did not even think it was fun.

    Did you try Vanguard?

I neither play WoW nor eat fast food.

    I was looking at Vanguard...

But alot of people say it has problems, so idk.

But that also looks like a game I would be interested in.

    Hmm...

What up coming game do you think would be awesome?

I only played beta of LoTRO, and found it to be pretty solid, but nothing about it drew me back in to want to play. It just didn't have that addictive quality for me that other MMOs had. Granted I didn't give it much of a shot.

I quit after my first month ended too but I used a debit card and all I had to do was cancel. That way I got one free month without paying the 15$ for second.

And a fantasy coming out for US is coming soon called Perfect World, it's out in Asia so lol it looks goodd though. I think it's called the "asian WoW" plus its free!

Well i feel it wise to point out that most games when they come out have problems give vanguard a few more months and it will be a good stable game. Based on this i see no reason for you not to try out vanguard or LOTRO.

Another alternative to Vanguard and LotRO is EQII. Depends a bit on your preference in MMOGs though. Unfortunately I haven't played Runescape, so I can't recommend anything based on that.

with the playstyle of runescape try ultima online.

lotr does not have the runescape playstyle, it has a lobotomized wow style and UO is very soon updating or has already updated their graphics to a much more current style.

i'm not at all a UO fan, i'm just giving you my impression of what you seem to actually be looking for.
