Just mentioned at the E3 press conference. NCsoft will make games for Playstation network

That's good.... PS3 has a recent price drop from $599 to $499 ($100 bucks discount) for the 60 GB "premium" package. I feel PS3 is gonna be worth more than the Xbox360 in the long run once more developers take advantage of the full power of the PS3 hardware and Playstation Online Network.
More than that, NCSoft has become a First Party PS3 developer, meaning that all console games that they produce will be exclusive to Sony...

When I watch the business channel and see "SONY buys NCSOFT for X billion dollars"... thats when it becomes first party.
NCsoft is actually a game publisher but they do have some in-house development of games but most of their business has to do with publishing games than making them. But the point is the same, it can be good for PS3 if there are a few more exclusive titles that showcases the power of the hardware to it's limits.

In other news.... you can now download the new exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4 E3 2007 HD trailer in the Playstation Network store today. Things like this made me glad i drop 6 benjamin franklins for the PS3.

Well it's for the games per se.. the trailers are kinda like the appetizers to whet your appetite just before the main course.

Interesting, but this is unlikely to make any impact whatsoever on the console wars.
As for me, both consoles have enough reasons for me to stay away from them...at least for now.
I'm now a 100% PC gamer and there is practically an endless list of top notch games for me to play. I also recently bought a 42" 1080p LCD and hooked it up to my computer. It's unbelievable just how awesome the gaming experience is now.
I enjoy console gaming but right now my husband is in the process of putting together an HTPC system and I have a feeling it's going to be hard to drag myself away from PC gaming for a while. We have the TV and everything else doesn't seem to be too pricey. I was shocked that he could do it for such a reasonable price. I always over-think money stuff and accuse him of trying to send us to the poor house. Poor old sod... I would have divorced me AGES ago!
I'm not planning on buying a PS3 any time soon, but I'm very very curious to see what NCsoft comes up with. I'm a bit of a fan.

Amazing. . . I thought you were being sarcastic. How can you be happy you dropped $600 for a console that just recently dropped their price BEFORE all their homerunners have launched? I'd be a bit mad. I still have yet to get a PS3 and I don't forsee myself getting one anytime soon. Had I wanted to pay $500 for a PS3 I'd have bought one when they first launched the system. . . price drop my ass.
In any case NCSoft making games exclusively for PS3 is interesting. I can't wit to see what they create with the system. I wish they would release on both systems but I guess NCSoft making games for one system as opposed to no systems is good too.

A blue-ray player by itself already cost $400 bucks. Blu-ray + HDMI+ HDTV = real next generation gaming

In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.
My guess would be they can take on two angles for the types of games to deliver.
Dungeon Runner the small scale MMO they just put out fits pretty well with a console.
The second would be that Guild Wars 2 is in the works, and with the style of gameplay that offers, I can see a console version working.
Time will tell how well any MMO can do on these next gen machines.

Ummmm where did you read that? Everything I have read, and seen (including on Amazon.com) has shown the PS3's price to drop by $100 not $200. This would make the 60GB version $500 and the 80gb version $600. Exact same prices as when the console launched.
Also the cheapest standalone BluRay player is $500 as well. Whoever said it was $400 was wrong.

Even if the PS3 was blu-ray only it's a good deal. Everything else is just an add-on. :P lol 500 is good now
and good games dont come often for play station 1 & 2, they finally got some for the 3rd this'll make my friend happy
Last time I checked PSN has over 950,000 users. I'm pretty sure 950K+ people is worth making games for.

I can recall when CD players came out and and DVD players came out, Man they where pricey just like the blue-ray crap, I will wait till they start selling them for 20$ like you can get a DVD player for these days. As for ps3 vs xbox360 vs pc. /shrug im not rich enough to upgrade my PC every new game to be able to play the new OMG WTF BADASS LOOking PC game. PS3 will have its good games Xbox360 will have its good games and the PC will have its good games.
Another questionable strategic decision from NCSoft. They are finding creative ways to be bad businessmen.
