Is there any trial for EQ2 that lets me get off the island?

I feel the island doesn't give me much of the game, I tried it twice last year...I couldn't tell if I would like it so, just being stuck on the newbie island and never subscribed.

Is there any trial that lets me off the island to see what the game is really like?

i have the same problem second time ive tried the trial is right now and i kind of want to buy it but i don't want to spend the money just to be let down

The play the Fae trial puts you in Greater Faydark. It’s still level limited and so forth but you are playing in a major zone instead of the island. Your first char must be a Fae, you can play other races after that, as long as they can start in GFay.

Also with the Play the Fae trial you can play the New race Arasai (evil alignment)

i downloaded the play the fae trial but when i tried making one it was still blacked out o.o
