Brettonia is one of the best selling armies, and their ideals and beliefs are completely diffrent to the Empires. You might find the idea of "Honour" and "Chivalry" unfun, but its a great basis for a race in WAR.
Having two human nations hundreds of years apart in their development, each with a completely different aesthetic and character, would completely dispel any notion that either the Empire or Bretonnians are "generic humans".
Bretonnia is great. It's easy to dismiss the Brets as knights in shining armour and nothing else, and that is how they've been portrayed at times, but when you add in the hordes of starving peasants, children being stolen away in the night and sinister elves brainwashing the ruling classes (Current armybook hints that the Bretonnian state religion is a manipulation instigated by the Elven colony of Athel Loren) it becomes something far more interesting: the classic fairytale kingdom made just that bit more Warhammer. I'd love to see Bretonnia in an expansion, it fits perfectly with the existing Order races and provides a nice counterpoint to the Empire.
Wood elves are chaotic in nature (pun intended) and wouldnt side with ANYONE. Here are a few reasons:
1. They aren't leaving their forest to sack a city any time soon.
2. They hate dwarfs almost as much as dwarfs hate them (ala book of grudges).
3. There is no way an WE would let anyone other than a WE into the sylvan forest. none. zero. nada. is that point clear? and by allying themselves they allow people to enter...no...
Reasons Why Beast men aren't ever going to get added:
1. Their chaos...
2. re read number one if you didn't get it.
As much as it infuriated me when I read that lizard men where the next logical choice....I had to agree. They are ORDER. just as much as skaven would be destruction. And with one fell swoop you add in your two animal anthromorphs into the game. (like iksar...and ratonga...and tauren...Va'shir...and keran...and on and on.)
However I dont think Mythic would be adding any new races to WAR. ever. Purely because that creats a story conflict with the existing one. Their would litteraly have to be one unifying and ULTIMATE reason as to why these groups could even think of being added. and it would have to be HUGE.
I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad, The dreams in which I'm dieing are the best I've ever had.

I would go for Wood Elves vs. Beastmen.
Because Beastmen just plain rock and I think a race like this one would really upgrade the game.
