Newb Questions...

1. How many Slots can you have to each Quarter for your characters?

2. Are there no Polearm weapons you can buy for your lower level fighter characters?  All I see are level 30 Polearms and that's it.  I have a Reboldoeus Soldier and would like to start using a Polearm to level up the stance if possible.

3. Where's the Beef?

4. Does the Pose (ALT - X) actually work?  I can't seem to get it to work for some reason.

5. When I log in, I get this message Squad rooting option has been set up as Gain Freedom.  What does that mean?

6. How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

7. Is it possible to have the two characters you're not controlling use a spell or skill every once in awhile buy themself or do I have to manually have them do it whenever I want?

Thanks for any help in advance.

9 characters in each quarters for a total of 36 characters.
    2. Are there no Polearm weapons you can buy for your lower level fighter characters?  All I see are level 30 Polearms and that's it.  I have a Reboldoeus Soldier and would like to start using a Polearm to level up the stance if possible.
Not 100% possitive but I believe that  you can only use Polearms after 30.
    3. Where's the Beef?
... There are buffalo in King's Garden... does that count?
    4. Does the Pose (ALT - X) actually work?  I can't seem to get it to work for some reason.
Try going into your game option menu (ALT + O) and clicking off 'Auto Defend Mode' at the lower left.  Then click anywhere on the ground.  Now try to use your poses.  For some reason they don't work while that is on.
    5. When I log in, I get this message Squad rooting option has been set up as Gain Freedom.  What does that mean?
That is the looting system.  It basically determines how people get loot.  Gain Freedom allows everyone to pick up items and then it will randomly award it to a player in the squad.
    6. How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
What the heck is a wood chuck... Sorry, I live in Sunny So. Cal.  I am pretty sure I have never seen a wood chuck... and at least one that isn't road kill.

You have to manually do it.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Thanks a ton for getting back to me.  Really appreciate it.  So far I enjoy the game, just people need to actually talk in town.

BTW I live in Southern Cali as well.  You've never heard the Wood Chuck Nursery Rhyme?

So the answer to your is you can have up to 9 Avatars in each of your 9 quarters. Adding an Avatar cost 10,000 vis and adding the second Quarters cost 100,000 vis. I don't know the cost past the second Quarters as I never had enough Vis to fill the second before the beta ended.
    2. Are there no Polearm weapons you can buy for your lower level fighter characters?  All I see are level 30 Polearms and that's it.  I have a Reboldoeus Soldier and would like to start using a Polearm to level up the stance if possible.

This is true on standard fighters, however you can get UPCs that use the polearm as their main weapon. Thus if you purchase or trade for a UPC card that fighter can use the pole arm from lvl1. Also if you craft a polearm from a recipe the lvl req is lvl 24 (lower then the bought from NPC reqs).  Of course the trick there is that the mats required to craft the polearm will require a lvl 28+ to find.
    3. Where's the Beef?

If you simply want meat you can get that at the corners from boars or later on bears.

Does anyone actually use those? I tried the sitting in chair pose and got attacked. I could not get them to get out of their imanaginary chairs before they all died.

That is the looting system.  It basically determines how people get loot.  Gain Freedom allows everyone to pick up items and then it will randomly award it to a player in the squad.
This is set by the squad leader. One intresting thing, if set to random or Turns then it does not matter who picks something up nor does it matter if you are in proximity, just in the same instance. Basicly you can have a group of healers follow the team and the items will automaticlly be distributed to the squad members.
     6. How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
What the heck is a wood chuck... Sorry, I live in Sunny So. Cal.  I am pretty sure I have never seen a wood chuck... and at least one that isn't road kill.
That would be a cord. A cord is a cubit's worth of wood but measured as a cylindar not a square.
    7. Is it possible to have the two characters you're not controlling use a spell or skill every once in awhile buy themself or do I have to manually have them do it whenever I want?
You have to manually do it.
The exception are unarmed scouts, you can make a team of 3 scouts. use 2 to autoheal the squad (they will heal all squad members not just your team) and have the third traing up in weps and traps. The just rotate them out.  Every other class must be manually cast. You can remove the manual AOE and thus casting a fireball is a one button press action, but you must manually press that button.
Thanks for any help in advance.
