there are 2 things i would go back to SWG if they put back in
1: give us back 32 professions.. that was the best way of playing mix and match
2: make Jedi's Alpha class able to kill 10 players by them self and make it impossible to unlock..
just do those's 2 easy steps and i'm sure tons of people would be runing backk
anyway i haven't played that trash since NGE so i dont know if they fix it yet or not.. and dont care...as all of you should dont care about SWG!
Nasedoo: You said traders would get a revamp under my supervision.
Darth Lord Blixtev: I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further.

2) hell no....jedi should have never been in the game. (alpha, timeline, attention, many reasons)
Well i guess they don't want you to resub because you wont see that. Time to move on.

Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!
One thing is enough to bring me back - rollback to pre cu.
To be serious, since the last time i tried nge i havent once been tempted to go back. From checking every day for some good news, i just lost interest in anyhting SOE do to this game. Nge is so far away from the right track that it can never appeal to me. I have given up this one, its pre cu or nothing. To miss the great times i had in swg is now a part of my life i have learned to live with.
Well both them things wont ever happen.
+ Alpha class was a stupid idea and ruint the game, SWG was best without jedi.
Jedi an alpha class that can kill 10 players?
Why do you think the game failed in the first place.
The quest for the Jedi alpha class helped steer SWG into the sorry state it is currently in. Jedi/Force users should have remained as NPC's only. I know there are those that felt the original Jedi system had promise, but the fact is that Jedi was an alpha class (risk or not) and most players would end up gravitating to the Jedi profession to stay viable in combat sooner or later.
I also miss the skill system we had with the 32+ professions.
Yes I agree thats all it would take for me and my droogs to return...now lets see if they have the smarts/guts to do it.
The skill boxes were and are the best things in any game ever. And I mean from Dungeon Masters storyline, to Bards Tale's questing (and for those of you old enough disk switching cheat) to LOTRO's Monster play/ Skill boxes were the best invention, IMHO, in rpg's to date. The depth of toonage, the specific blended classes. It was and is amazing. For those who only know the NGE the reason why two years later vets are still in here and other places swinging at SOE/LA is the best RPG to ever come along was killed in the night and we loved it so much we are still pissed. That should show SOE/LA and the new SWGers how great the game once was, WE ARE STILL MAD and WANT IT BACK. Could there be more loyal fans? I loved Fable, WoW, EQ2, Morrowind, Daggerfall etc...but no RPG whether online or not has come close to the skill box based point system(except for Jade Empire kind of). There were many other problems with the game but it was the best.
As per Jediage, yes I loved working my butt off to do the impossible, to get a jedi unlock. It was wonderful only because it was so tough. But yes what originally drew me to the game was when my friends said "there are no Jedi's as PCs". That is what got me to play SWG, once the Holohate was brought in I was mad but as I started to see it for the fun that is was I went in. I would be fine with really tough Jedi grind or none at all. So really if they just bring back the skill boxes I would return as would at least 25 of my friends and 10 more new folks.
I miss SWG...
It failed because it wasn't completed and horribly bugged when it launched. SOE never gave it the time to succeed then rushed the CU on us.
Finally a fanboi forced to admit the game wasn't perfect.
'rushing' the cu took a whole 2 years to 'rush' in?
Can you show us exactly where people said it was perfect?

Yes pre-cu was a bug infested p.o.s. But, when people weren't knowingly exploiting (which on sunrunner was most of the time) pre jedi/pre-9/pre-cu swg was one helluva fun game. Before the superbuffs, before the nerf nerf un-nerf renerf double nerf thing that started going on. Before SOE started bold faced lying to everyone saying "Yes we are aware of this issue, but once the combat revamp goes live these and many other issues will be taken care of." Before the "working as intended" bs spiel thrown around by the CSR reps from India. When entertainers had a purpose, when it took a dozen people to take down a krayt dragon, when almost every day there were running gun battles of 100s of characters between Bestine and Anchorhead, SWG was a unique and entertaining game. Too bad this game hasnt been around since.... oh I dunno... 6 months after release?

Personally.. they should have followed an idea brought up a long time ago.
Jedi could stay in the game.. but they would be severely limited and randomized. Upon character creation, an imaginary dice we'll call it would roll on a scale of something equal to 1/5,000 (though i actually remember the number 10,000). If you were lucky. Zing! You got to unlock jedi and play as one! Delete that character.. and too bad for you! Start creating a character five thousand times until you get lucky again..
It would limit the number of jedi.. keep them in star wars.. but cause them to be rare.. and if someone wanted to spend a month or more's time to re-roll character after character to try and make jedi.. then let them have it when they eventually roll that five thousand and make jedi.. they afterall starved and deprived themselves of sleep and food/water for so long to get jedi..

No he can't... He's a troll that uses a former SWG Bounty Hunters forum name to spread his love of the NGE... Wow, what a calling in life!
Jedi originally (prepub9) wouldn't have had that much of an impact, it's only when they decided to hand Jedi out (CU) it was a problem.
I for one would only go back if the combat was preCU, all professions were back, FRS was back, all characters reset (i dont want some 10 year old running around with a prepub) and all those who were working during the NGE.. FIRED!!!
