See, putting peoples who are DANGERous for other, society or the good functionning of it in jail; sure.  Might even codemn them to death.  However, to threat peoples who are evading life, neglecting it and their family, in jail?

I really don't see how this will improve society in anyway.  It is obvious they don't deserve to keep their kids and they should be strip of parental rights and obligations...but put in jail?  You want them as contributing citizen and they represent no risk for society.

Jail = for peoples who represent a risk to society, in a form or another.  If you strip them of their kids, they represents no risk whatsoever to anyone, anywhere, in anyform.  You can put them to hardwork, social programs or whatever...but jail?  Someone is been a dimwit somewhere!

Jail is not to be considered a punishment, but a mean to ensure that society is better.  I fail to see how society will be better with them in jail.  They need to be put into social programs, so they work and developp ties or whatever...A killer, you remove him from society.  A thief, you remove him from society.  A madman which attack strangers, you remove him from society.  A guy who put a house on fire, you remove him from society.  Someone who isn't motivated and doesn't take his responsabilities...err you strip him of many rights (parentals among them) and you put them to hardwork, you don't remove them from society, in fact, removing them from society is the WORST thing you can do them; might as well just murder them.

puting them in jail might be a little harsh. But it would teach the idiots a lesson and maybe break there addiction to videos games, or kill them selves in jail from lack of D&D.

IMO this is really the problem of the parents, I really think those two should think it over and they will realize that they weren't suited as parents and feel guilty for not knowing it sooner. I know it sounds harsh but 'their' children are better off withouth them, and hopefully with a loving, caring foster family. But for the parents; next time when you're back out, be free to do whatever you want, BUT if you decide to play online games 24/7, use a condom or some other kind of precaution in the time you're satisfying your other needs...
