I get such a kick out of these threads, heres a thought. When one day in the future the internet goes away for some new technological leap replacing it, WoW will still be up and running and will already have implemented a patch to be ready for the change so as to not interupt their subscribers enjoyment of the game.
I guess people think that they gain credibility by knocking WoW, I see these guys everyday on the street wearing signs that say the sky is falling....
Sure one day it will go away, but since there is so much money to be made in the industry do you really think there won't be something else offerred by Blizzard?
I think newer hi tech/consolized games and WAR and AoC in the horizons will little by little push WoW down, but UO is still alive and will remain for years to come, so there will be a lot of guilds moving from WoW to new titles but WoW is going to stay there for longer than we think.
And i dont like WoW, dont play it and see WoW-ish games as a punishment on you for your past life incarnation crimes against mankind. Bad karma.

Someday in the near future WoW will be implemented into our very brains via computer chip
and we will communicate telepathically while driving our futuristic cars with no steering wheels and mp3 players
