PoBS 10k Beta ramp up starts!

Beta Update

The first 1k invites went out this evening. No news on when the rest will start going out. But it's good news for those 10k lucky people who will join the Closed Beta.

For the rest of us, it means the game is that much closer to the promised open Beta, which will last for 42 days befor the Release of the game in stores.

GL to everyone in getting one of those 10k tickets!

    The next batch of invites should be in a couple of days, They want to get the first round of players downloaded and in game, to make sure there are no major problem's inviting so many at once.

    There's a light at the end of every tunnel, just pray it's not a train.

    42 days of open beta? What? Where on earth you read that? That would be an extremely long open beta.

    It was in one the E3 Vid interveiws a dev gave. But I think he meant more along the lines of 42 days before realease they will have an Open beta with a few weeks of down time to get ready for launch. Thats my guess.

    I never saw it in a video. I saw it written by a dev on the forums though.

    it was indeed in an E3 Vid, but Rusty also mentioned it on the Boards. It has been verified by him though so you can exspect 42 days of Open Beta to take a look befor it goes Live! I hope to see everyone there ^^

    Was it 42 day -(minus) a couple of weeks before live? So it would be something like open beta 28days + 14 days total downtime then release?

    If so there are to be expected random SOE whine on day 27 of the open beta. I mean if one would say 42 (total) of open beta access.

    I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.
