Err, this is like a subset of the poll I posted myself to see what people think, so I shouldn't be voting. Too bad there wasn't a neutral choice, so I picked DnL just because it was first alphabetically. Thats my solid reasoning. image

The way weather will affect gameplay and the one server concepts push me towards dnl.

I think the roleplaying and the community will be better suited for my taste.

I hope to beta test both of them to make a final choice.imageimage

DnL will have better graphics, more races, more tradeskills, more classes, more mounts and a bigger map.
And by the way DnL wll have a map much bigger than WoW one.

At last, but not at least, DnL will have much more PvP, and i can´t play a game without PvP, and I don´t like a lot the games with a casual PvP.

This versus argument is not my thing, both these games will appeal to people in differant ways. The basic rule is if you like it, then its good, if you dont, then its bad. It doesnt matter what anyone else thinks. No ones opinion is better than anyone elses when it comes to what we individually find fun. image

Both these games look very good to me. image

Um.... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ??????????

The Poll is in this same Forum "The Pub at MMORPG.COM". Just scroll down or go to http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion.cfm/load/forums/loadforum/51/loadthread/13718/setstart/1/loadclass/35 (I hope the link works)

Besides, right now WoW is winning in the poll with DnL in second place, and GW in last - with my own vote being "Can't decide" - the only one so far at that it seems.

Gameplay and community carry 80% of a reason i play a game.So since i am not in beta of any of those 2 can't really say.

Each mmorpg will appeal to certain players. I would compare D&L to Wish more than I would WoW. The one thing that really concerns me about WoW from what I've gleamed from beta testers and people who have followed the game more than I is that there is concern about depth in WoW. In that aspect, I would pick D&L over WoW, but WoW looks so good.

I don't know which one to pick. D&L has dynamic weather system that actually affects gameplay more than just being something that affects your view. Let me go bang my head against the wall and then I'll get back to you on this one.image Oh crap!! imageThere's also EQ2, Wish, MeO, and SoR (just as a alternate mind you if all the rest are disppointing for some reason). Lol, can't forget GW either.

I think that both of these games look great, but DnL looks and sounds a little more appealing.  I like the fact that both games have two major alliances that hate eachother, but again DnL takes it a little bit farther in that you can take over the other alliances towns and such.  The only problem with DnL is that there might be a lack of players, and with such a large map I doubt it will be to fun for people who like a lot of social interaction.  If they do get enough people to fill the world though the game will be awsome.

I barely hear anything good or any comments at all on DNL. WoW will beat DNL in a long-run. WoW will be the best out there.

Honestly (and don't take this the wrong way) I'm kinda afraid of the kind of gamers WoW will have. If it's anything like juvenile.net I mean battle.net I'm steering clear of it. Blizzard is known for making great games and attracting bad gamers. Plus, WoW's graphics are a little too cartoonish for me. I want as close to real as I can get (I hate japaninamtion btw)

DnL seems a lot more mature, a lot more roleplay-immersive rather than d00d-immersive, and the features they're claiming to have seem amazing and a lot of fun.

My biggest concern is getting a new PC to handle it :) But seriously, DnL just might have the kind of pvp gaming experience I've been waiting for. I had hoped DAoC would have that same kind of experience when it first came out, but it turned out to be a disappointment. Here's hoping DnL lives up to my imagination!

EDIT: oh and another thing, I'm much more of an explorer than a socializer when it comes to gaming (one of the biggest reasons I left EQ shortly after buying it...too much emphasis on grouping), and DnL's world looks so huge that I may have a good time there.

Well im going for DnL on this one, (But then I would).

I looked into all MMO's at E3 2004, and although I only the Farlan stand (DnL) only met my expectations, my expectations for DnL are danm high :D  (knowing me probably far too high, but we shall see).

Ive never been particularly into warcraft, as with some others I dont really like the cartoony look of the graphics, and I dont think it really adds much thats innovative or really new.  It's just warcraft online...

Just because you havent heard about DnL too much, or not seen the rave reviews dont underestimate the work NPCube and their partners have done.  Things should pick up with activity and publicity on DnL pretty soon.

For my reason for voting, WoW does not get me excited, DnL does, dynamic weather, the fantastic close-photorealistic landscape, the dragons, ive seen it, been there, flown them, and it really is another world.

I prefer for both of them to be released so I can play them both and then make a decision.
