I actually downloaded the psp version just to try it out, turns out theres no psp emulators..

Anyways phantasy star online doesnt really look as good, I like having to roll out of the way and time your attacks rather than just sitting there clicking the enemy.

You have to time your attacks and dodge in Phantasy Star Online. You don't click on an enemy either, its a twitch based game.

this is actually a GOOD game.

Did you even play MHF, you DS fanboi?  If you had, you'd know they did a pretty amazing job with two less shoulder buttons.

Not to mention, that video is 100% incorrect.  The reviewer hadn't play MH before Freedom.

"The buttons were so jam-packed, they couldn't fit in a pause button."

    Noobs ftl.

*edit*:   I hope Frontier comes to NA.  That'd rock.

He said to me, "On your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that going for me, which is nice.

Monster Hunter Frontier has been released in Japan but Capcom decided that there wasn't enough interest in North America or Europe to release in those areas.

I'm hoping that you're playing MHF2 on the PSP since it addressed many of the major issues of the first game. MHF2 streams content so that you don't have to sit through load screens and everything animates much smoother. It's still not online though.

Having only played the first game on the PS2, I can honestly say that the game is a serious grind and desperately needs some kind of camera lock-on function. The combat can be intense, but most of the time you'll be running around the same map and killing the same monsters over and over again in order to get what  you need to upgrade your equipment. This causes most of the combat to feel like a inconvenience rather than an exciting diversion since you just want to get on to the next unexplored area and kill new monsters that you haven't seen before.

I really like the idea of Monster Hunter Frontier being sold with a controller. I assume that most Japanese PC gamers own gamepads though since I have yet to encounter a doujin game that doesn't have gamepad support. Wouldn't it be cool if they made a PC version of Virtua Fighter 5 Online and sold it with a USB gamepad?

Yesterday there was a blog entry by a Capcom USA employee and he said that MH Frontier is unlikely to come out in the US. They will evaluate it's viability again in 2008 and make a final decision in 2009.

The reasons cited for it's unlikelyhood is not lack of interest as stated by Jimmy_Scythe but lack of money.

Capcom USA doesn't have the long term personel to run an MMO or the servers. They don't even have a team available to localize it in the first place.

About PSO bb , there shuting down the US/EU servers soon but if you had a subscription (Hunter's Licenese) in the past you can play for free after Jan 9 till  Mar 31'st 08 , the final shutdown day. :(

PSO in general started on the dreamcast so it is showing its age bu if you played it , it was addicting to bad SEGA of amerca didn't maintain there servers , the JP version of BB is still going strong I beleive.

PSO BB shutdown plan annoucement :
