Clusters

Do anyone thing that mythic is going to do another clustering of the servers cause the pop, is very low on the TOA servers or will they go along way and just cluster the EU servers with the American server to have more pop. on the american servers. Just like they clustered the Japan server with the american servers.

I'm going to make a wild guess that soon we will have 3 "clusters" soon.  Classic (bossiney), ToA and RP servers clustered in one, and Mordred.  I am not so sure about the EU servers as they are on a different patch cycle, but it is possible.

The EU servers and owned and operated by GOA so they will never be clustered with the US servers (although that is not a bad idea for the english speaking one.)

I am thinking that there will not be just one ToA cluster but 2.  Mostly to make things more managable.

There's only 4 ToA clusters as it is now if you include Tintagel.  I say cluster everyone but Mordred and Gaheris.  Change the buff ruleset to grouped only (no range) and use ToA ruleset for everything else.  Within a couple weeks, everyone is going to be equipped in Dragon Armor and Champ / Dragon weapons anyhow.  ToA items are only needed in select templates for casters mostly now days, the rest can be capped through items available on classic.  Master Levels are almost easier to obtain than Champion Levels now, so within 3 weeks or so everyone will be on even footing as far as MLs, gear, and artifacts.  Then let the game wear itself out until Warhammer comes out.

If you cluster just all of the regular servers, then at peak play times you are going to have over 4000 people.  That is way too many.  Some people complained about the clustering of more zones, now to tell them that the population is going to be over the server maximum is just going to be too much.  Clustering is with the classic servers will push the number to 6500-7000 which certainly is way too much.

If they redo the clusters to 2 ToA clusters, then you will have 2000-2500 which will be fine and around the same size as the classic servers.

I do not want to have the classic server clustered, mostly because I hate their rule set.  Changing it so that you have to be grouped I might be able to put up with, there there are cases where we have had two groups and have had to get buffs from the other group.

I say cluster Mordred and Gaheris just for the entertainment value.....
