Which class do you HATE the most?

PrebThorPrebThor Member UncommonPosts: 452

Whether it's your opponent's class or your own (wrong choice maybe?), what is it about that particular class that just makes the blood boil in your veins? As a rogue, I would have to say a warlock is my worst enemy because of its extremely effective DOT's (damage-over-time) and that annoying Fear, closely followed by a hunter because of the pet, the kiting and Hunter's Mark (which tracks you even in stealthed AND increases damage from ranged attacks for 2 minutes).

This should be a nice way to blow out some steam and getting to know your opponent a little better at the same time!

I must admit that I really dislike Rogues, Undead rogue as they have Will of the Forsaken will give them a unrealstic advantage against other class. Plus that Stealth give the biggest advantage they ever can have. So I would say Rogue, no doubt. And of cause it don't take so much skill to play a Rogue. A Warlock for eksempel is far more complex class and mostly reserved for more advanced players.

Love the fact that a thread that could have been a interesting discussion falls into insults in the first response ... but would we expect different?

Shamen are one of the two strongest classes for defending flags, the other being hunter (especially N-elf hunters). Rogues aren't far behind. But that's one of the beauties of the battlegrounds - each class seems to have it's ideal role and responsibilities - e.g. hunters are great at defence, good at pawning in midfield, but when it comes to carrying flags, they suck.

Personally my most hated class is rogue. Comes from playing on a PvP server, where rogues are pretty consistently the worst gankers around.

The class of kids that think using the word "pawn" is fresh and makes them internet leet.

    I hate Hunters the most. I play a non-Shadow Priest (Disc/Holy) and I can't stand Hunters.

LOL yeah I'll go along with this.

On Warlocks, I see them as perhaps the easiest class to play and level with (even easier than hunters) but a most difficult class to play well.  You can develop a lot of sloppy habits with warlocks as you level up that will cause you problems later on as you move into raiding.  Warlocks do have a very extensive set of skills to call upon, but knowing how to use them properly to the best effect is no easy task.

I always found pallies to be the most boring class to play. Combat always took forever, and I hated the whole buffbot/b-list healer role I'd be resigned to in many groups. Priests and druids were a ton more fun to play from a healing angle.

But come to think of it, I hated shammies too. I tried the class a couple times, but always hated the totem animations (I know, I know a stupid reason to hate a class). I guess I just didn't like those two classes because they're a little bit of everything but not quite enough of one thing for my personal play style.

All classes have their little secrets

No class is really "easy" to play or "hard" to play. An experienced player can see the difference between a good Rogue/Warlock and a bad Rogue/Warlock

I've played the Warrior class almost exclusivley .

Paladins are the hardest to kill, high armor, heal themselves, bubble etc

I can beat warlocks, when PVP spec that is, with immunity to fears and some massive damage I deal. But they always leave me hurting. Same with Shadow Priests.

least favorite class to play - Warlock.

least favorite class in general - Hunter. Sucks that hunters make up half of every server...

Currently Playing : WAR, UO, RL :p

  • davvindavvin Member UncommonPosts: 154

having played every class to at least level 50 i would say that they're all pretty easy to play, and i enjoyed playing all of them--but harder to play well, now for PVP...

for my Warlock, I would say my most hated classes would warrior, hunter and priest...rogues are a bit more pain after they got cloak of shadows but still i wouldn't put them as the hardest--although there's some very good rogues who really know how to play their class that are a major pain.

for my warrior it'd probably be mages

for my paladin...it'd be most every class, i hate pvp on my paladin

for my hunter i'd say probably warlocks, maybe warriors and paladins also

for my rogue it'd be warriors, warlocks and priests, and possibly mages

for my priest it'd be warlocks and hunters

for my mage it'd be warlocks and rogues

for my druid it'd be warlocks and paladins

for my shaman it'd be warlocks and hunters

Pet classes are fun to play.  It's great to have a friend available who responds to your every command by your side.

That's one big reason totally apart from the combat mechanics why hunter and warlock are so popular.

Hunters and Warlocks.  It has nothing to do with how easy they are, nor how some ability is overpowered.  The simple fact of the matter is that the class is overplayed and fairly useless and replaceable in groups.  Both are DPS, both have a limited CC.  I'd rather have a Mage or Rogue in my group.

A hunter has better CC than a rogue.  And maybe not quite as much dps but they have an offtank - the pet.   I play a hunter because it's fun and I'd quit WoW before I rerolled to something else.

Melee shamans because they are utterly and completely useless.

And yeah, a good Warlock can be THE asset for a group while a bad Warlock can fuck up like no other class. There is a highly entertaining thread about the most useless Warlock spell on the official EU forums. Those that mention banish and soul shatter are not the ones to bring to your group ;P

Class I hate what?  Because if their overpowered/not overpowered?  Or if I hate the community.

By far, I hate the warlock community the most.

PvP wise, I hate Fury warriors (Im a rogue)

And for the record, Rogues are much harder to play at 70 then they are at 60, 60 i was stunlock stunlock stunlock, But those were the days of fear chaiing and shammys 2 shotting everyone :P

Classes have much more stamina.  Rogues ahve low hp, Low defense, Low range.  Vanish is broken is both PvP and PvE sense.  Catch a rogue out of stealth, you should win, Hands down.  If your in a bg and a rogue kills you while you have full health, that rogue is very good.  They have the least amount of skills, But it takes experiance and skill to chain those right.  Yes,The imfamous, Cheap shot --> backstab---> Kidney Shot ---> Backstab ---> GOuge ---> Backstab, Does NOT work as well anymore.  It does not kill any cloth wearers.  Try that on a mage.  You'll find yourself at range, with no energy, or combo points.

Classes that I played and hated... Paladin.... get tired of thinking I'm a fighting class only to be told to shut up and heal/buff.....

Classes that I hate fighting, Warlocks because of the fear probably..... maybe rogues that gank you in mid-npc pull.. (fecking cowards)

Well I have played every class.

Id have to above all else I hate ...more then anything else. Gnome rogues.

But keep in mind I just despise gnomes in genral. Im really racially biased to anything thats head is the size of its whole body and shorter then my knee, yet can move as fast as me. lol

Id say all classes have really anyoing skills if a player does it.

Rogue - vanish ...they always do it right as my aimed shot is about to fire, and yes I hunter's mark them but there is a way they can get my mark off them =(

Warlock - Dot dot fear, and RUN AWAY...I hate anything that makes me chase it..

Mage - just cause they can blink over the top of my frost traps lol !! that and frost nova can suck at times.

Priest - area effect fear and a shadow priest that can Life drain you from half way across the BG is no fun, as bad as the one that can heal there team mates from as far ... good thing healers are a rarity.

Paladin - a pally that knows his/her class is near impossible to kill, the no DPS is equal to there massive armor and healing and bubbles... insane pally's can slow walk WSG with flag and not ever worry about it.

Druid - ultra fast self healers taht can shapeshift out of slow effects. the ones that make me laugh are the moonbeam spammers, when I see one I thank the horde gods that he / she dont know the true power they have to move the flag across field faster than most all classes. cause even a double sprint rogue with potion cant get out out of concosuion and frost novas the way a feral can.

Warrior - only thing a warrior has that I even notice is hamstring, which sucks if you are trying to give cover fire to your FC getting out of base and walking at 2 mph.... which I never understood why they hamstring me and not the FC... we still win the flag even if Im only leaving the tunel as the FC gets home for the score, they still always seem to hamstring me first. But hey I dont mind since I get 3 marks anyway.

Shamman - well Id have to say a support build shammy who uses lots of totems and focuses on healing his team is by far the most annyoing.. a attacker shammy can be dangerous, but not as bad as a whole team of 4 or 5 people kept alive by a support shammy with earth bind and healing totems

Hunter - Id by far say freeze trap + concussion shot... my 2 favortie tools and most dreaded things to get on me. Pet is ussually not a issue you can  fear, trap, fool with FD a pet there dumb, but that concussion or trap when trying to carry or support a FC is by far the most damaging thing. oh and MM spec scatter shot .. cause 15 sec in PVP is eternity.

Last of all... My fellow horde Blood elves that dont know how powerful there racial ability of mana tap and especialy arcane torrent are!!! some of the best racials in game!!!!!

ok - my take on pvp as a hunter:

Warlocks - nasty. They are killable, and I stand a better chance against them than most. But if they outgear me, or have the right build then it's a real problem

Rogues - I remember when these guys were easy. I could solo defend a flag against 2 rogues at a time. And at 60 I can remember kiting rogues in high warlord gear to death whilst I was wearing blues. But post 60 they pick up several nasty new abilites. A real danger

Warrior - Winner goes to whoever has the best gear. Tie-breaks decided by who gets the first blow in.

Mages - Easy meat for a BM hunter as long as I'm not heavily outgeared.

Priests - Shadow priest can be dangerous, and will do a lot of damage, but I can mostly beat them. Holy priests just die

Shamen - Resto shamen are hard to kill. Rest are easy

Druid - Long and interesting fight against ferals. With lots of tactics and counters on both sides. Moonkin have far too much armour given the dps they can kick out. I try to avoid them.

Paladins - Hurt when they get up close. But once you've established more than 10 yards range and they've blown their repentance (if any) they have no tools to catch up. Walking HK (oops - where did that MS warrior come from).

Rouges - They Shank you..pretty bad

i try to frost nova rouges when there invisible sometimes it dont work but sometimes it does..

but they just be invisble again and gank the hell outa me

Warlocks - FEAR...most annoying shit ever...the 1 time warlocks can dmg you seriously

Shammy- SHAMMYS BY FAR! they stop  my spells and crap

  • NorborbNorborb Member Posts: 23

Paladins. They have been the most overpowered class since... forever. I dont care if there not faction specific anymore. I play a priest and im very tired of everyone thinking holy specced pallys are the best healers in the game because that means I dont as many invites anymore.

Don't worry about it. You just miss out on a whole load of noob groups. Pallies are probably the best single target healers in the game, which makes them valuable in raids, but priests are still the best 5 man healers around.

Can a pallie cast fast enough to keep an AoEing mage alive?

Can he cast heals that affect the entire party?

Does he have a heal over time, and how often can he shield another player?

Can a paladin fade if he gets aggro?

Don't get me wrong, pallies have many advantages, but anyone who can't accept that priests are competent healers is a fool.
