People complain alot about character customization, they don't realize the true customization of GE.  Just look at the stance system.  Warriors alone can do Spear, Sword/Shield, Rapiers, Sabres, Pistols, Great Swords, Sword/Pistol, and Dagger.  That's not even touching on the Veteran stances which some of them being Hybrids like Avance Garde which is a Rapier/Pistol stance.  GE provides a depth of character development for a single class, that most MMO's can't even come close to touching with multiple classes.  I'm not even going to go into how much thought goes into most duels just because of the sheer number of stances available.

I'd rather have a versatile character that can do many things, then have some creation screen full of sliders and weird hair styles.  In most games your Warrior is either a tank or damage dealer.  In GE my fighter can be a DPSer, Meatshield, Decent Range Shooter, and decent AOE'er just by switching stances.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

    1) F2P vs P2P vs Cash Shop

I keep saying this over and over again.  MMORPG's are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment.  Considering how much time, money, sweat and tears went into developing a game, the small amount of money we spend on the game is almost robbery.  If you're a beggar living on the street, then maybe I can understand.  Otherwise, I don't see how $9 or $20 or even $50 a month is going to impact your wallet in any significant fashion.

    2) Customization vs Performance

I lost count of the number of times people have explained why there is an intentional lack of extreme customization in SoTNW.  SotNW is ultimately a group based game at higher levels.  In addition, everyone is controlling 3 characters at a time.  As a result, the biggest issue becomes technical where the developers have to optimize the game to handle tons of individual toons on screen at the same time.  Having customized characters would totally bog everyone's computer down so much that it becomes unplayable.

Exactly. If everyones character is the same then you have to download the pics for it only once and everyone pops up on screen. This is one of the reasons in MMOs or video games in general, when you go into a new screen, some things "pop" up simultaneously.

You know what... I suck at explaining this.

Now on to SotNW... It dissapointed me.
