Ya I know this is all very speculative but people do make misjudgements etc. I think it would be classic seeing someone diving for the ground knowing their wings are about to expire but then seeing them fall most of the way and either dieing or losing alot of health

yea lol that would be funny to see someone dive to the ground and then die because of the impact .
Probably said before, but the flight system will make you feel like, you cant do EVERYTHING you want at any time, so you will need to save your flying time as a backup skill or some tactical way to getaway or fight from above, until the beta, we wont truly know what it will be like,

not neccerily flight doesnt always have to be for combat it can be to fly to get to a dungeon or a city. they also said your can find items in the sky, even though they havent given much detail about it but it doesnt mean u cant do everything. Flying might not even have a cooldown

In one of the interviews, you can gather items in the sky that will be used for crafting.
But you can only do this once you become a daeva.
Well it isn't necessary an item, but yeah some kind of mineral. We're not exactly sure how it is though. It'd be pretty weird if there were random flying items in the sky.
Back to the major discussion - we can't tell how flight restrictions will effect PvP. Some of you are pretty confident that everyone will take flight when they're about to die. Well look at it this way - flying away means that your back is facing your opponent. That means you'll be taking extra damage (direction has an effect on the game). In this way, flying away could end up getting you killed.
There could be skills that 'ensnare' flying players. There could be powerful anti air skills. But the thing is, we don't know if these exist or not. So we can't conclude whether having a flight restriction is going to be beneficial or Aion's downfall. The devs know the game a lot better than all of us, and they've decided to implement flight restriction. If it really doesn't work out, well that's what beta is for. Otherwise we're in no position to whine.
I wonder if your flying all the sudden, and your time runs out, and you fall to your death, lol?
think it might happen?, I mean theres got to be damage when you fall right?
The devs have already stated that there WILL be damage associated with falling to the ground in such a manner as we are speaking of. The damage will depend on the height of the fall.

And I guess that brings even more excitement to the game: just imagin, you have 10 seconds left of airtime, and you have to make it to the ground as fast as you can, with people still attacking you, perhaps you use defending spells or healing spells as a priest while your going down, and you come close enough to the ground that when your wings tinkle away, you are still alive, and fighting from the ground! Lol , cant wait till beta
Haha exactly. Or if he is in a pvp fight in the air, do he go down to rescue him self (and maybe die later) Or keep fighting, maybe the other guy falls first.. :P

I wonder if it will have more players than WoW, you never know, WoW wasent that popular to start with, Aion might become even BETTER than wow!
(Although let me tell you, I recently played a private server for wow, and you could fly and fight at the same time!, it was kewl )
