There are many ways to play warrior. As we all know, no build is perfect, even a very superior build can be taken down easily by another build and that build by another. So your looking to make a good warrior. I know many people who would go buff their health and it's pretty good. The build I usually use is a w/e with armor buffs. I can farm like a group of hydras or any meleers in the game and take them all out with ease. There are many different builds. For premade builds go to: www.pvxwiki.com

Well personally, I think that the 8 skills available to take with a build should be represented like this (at least for a warrior, all though most builds can follow this format too)

1-2 Self Heals/Condition Removal <------- Healing Sig / Healing Breeze /  Mending Touch

1 Interupt <---- Savage Slash / Interupting Chop

1 Degen Attack <---- Slash (for bleeding)

1 Condition Giving Attack <----- Gash (for deep wound)

    1 Defensive Block <-----Rispostle / Deadly Ripostle

2-3 High Damage/Finishing  <---- Hundred Blades / Triple Chop / Final Thrust / Eviserate ....etc

Often you have to decide whether you want to run more heals or more damage....unfortunately can't have it all

  • There are too many ways to play any particular class.

The only thing I can tell you is go to the builds section of GuildWars Wiki and browse around and get some ideas, that is what I do.  Gives you a good idea of the more standard strategies and some rather interesting novel strategies as well.

For example that is how I got my Assassin/Elementalist solo boss killer build.  The key is use Shadow form for 20 second of virtual invulnerability combined with show step and use an elementalist enchanment to do aoe damage evertime you are hit.  Great for killing groups.  I probably would not have thought of it myself and its not a traditional Assassin strat.  I used to it to get that Chars green daggers.

    For PvP:

IAS(flail or frenzy, all others are bad), attack skills(typically between 2 and 5 depending on what else you bring and weapon(3 minimum for sword, 2 minimum for axe, usually 3 or 4 for axe, though, usually either 3 + shock or 4 for hammer, but sometimes 5. Bull's Strike should always be one on hammers, and on axes(if without healsig) and sometimes on swords), speed boost, possibly self-heal and conditional removal, various utility skills, res sig.

    For PvE:

I don't know. My PvE warrior's still only level 14-ish because I don't feel like playing her atm. I've heard good things about just using a pvp warrior build, basically, except with flail instead of frenzy. In things like DoA and elite missions and stuff, I think Obs Flesh W/Es with armor buffs, damage reduction, etc. is popular for tanking.

On top of 8hammer8's tips, I'd say if you want opinion, a good thing would be to mention your secondary =)
