I wasn't flaming anyone so please do not accuse me of it. The only reason I edited my post is because we were getting to the point that people were just going to start copying and pasting promotional material to try and convine me that AoC had a great E3 showing. If you think you are informed because you believe promotional material then so be it.

Oh and I'm not all riled up cause your not impressed. I'm just saying give it some time. The games got 3 months till it comes out. Everyone wants everything NOW, but it doesn't work that way. Let them make their game, and if you then decide it's not worth your time after it has come out and the cat is out of the bag, by all means don't play it. But I just think it's kinda pointless to go 'they haven't shown PvP, so must be they are either lying that PvP is in the game, or it sucks and they don't want to admit it yet.' IMHO it's just pointless.
That's the whole point though.  3 months.... 3 months left, and we haven't seen female avatars, guild vs. guild siege combat, crafting, ANY PvP (Not even two guys beating eachother with sticks), ANY PvP also includes formations as well as spell-weaving, ranged combat,  (We did see spells cast, and we saw one shot of a first person view a looooong time ago), Hell I don't even think I've seen the main character die yet.

3 months..... This excuse sounded a lot better when you could say 8 months, or a year.  But now that it's only 3 months.  Saying "Give it time" doesn't really apply.

Seriously?) and I very quickly noticed one thing. E3's focus was on console gaming. That's right, the majority of what I saw was Wii, XBox 360 and Playstation gaming. I saw practically nothing at all on PC gaming. It's almost like PC game developers were an afterthought and a way to fill in the empty space between the console gaming booths. And even though EB Games and Gamestop shops in my area want me to believe PC gaming is on it's way out...I fail to see that as even close to being accurate.

Are you serious? I can tell you why you saw little focus on PC games. Because G4 caters to the 12-18 year old crowd that still finds their stupid, bad acted 'skits' funny, and at Morgan's clevage constantly. IE, they focus almost SOLELY on consoles, and not only that, but they assume 'wrongly' that console players are mostly 15 year old boys with over-active hormones. They somehow have lost grasp of the fact that most gamers are 25-35.

But alas, you missed out. There are a good number of interesting console titles coming, there always are. But there are a GREAT number of fantastic PC titles coming out as well. To recount a few -

Bioshock (I know it's on console to, but it's a PC FPS first and formost,)

    Crysis,

Half-Life 2 EP2/Portal/TF2 (yea, like I'm going to pay $70 for the 'orange box' when I can pay $30 for EP2/Portal/TF2 on steam,)

Age of Conan (had to put that in there,)

    Hellgate: London,

Neverwinter Nights II: Mask of the Betrayer,

Starcraft II (yea, a ways off.. but still.. bitchin!)

Call of Duty 4 (again, a PC FPS title through and through, and it looks UBER on a PC compared to a 360,)

Unreal Tournament 3, (I STILL have UT2004 on my machine,)

Tabula Rasa, Fury, Pirates of the Burning Sea, WAR (had to give the other MMOGs props)

Gears of War PC (woohoo a console port FPS. That means a 4 hour highly repetitive mediocrity-fest with pretty eye candy.. but it deserves mention.)

Need I go on? Most of these titles will be out in the next 6-8 months. IMHO, it is a blockbuster year q3/q4 for PC gaming. I personally don't see any console titles even CLOSE to as exciting as most of the above. Well, all of the above accept 1/2 the MMOGs (beside AoC,) and Gears of War PC. Well, the only console title I'm like 'wtf we need that on PC NOW' is Mass Effect. But thats just cause I'm a massive Bioware fan.

I think you kind of missed the tone of my entire post there Fion. I know this year is going to be a great year for PC gaming. That's why I was PISSED that G4 only showed consoles and why when I saw so little PC game coverage it made me mad. If you would notice...I said this at the end of what you quoted.

And even though EB Games and Gamestop shops in my area want me to believe PC gaming is on it's way out...I fail to see that as even close to being accurate.

If you read my second paragraph, you see how I specifically state how I believe PC gaming is still the front runner for gaming in general. My post was more related to how I am pissed about G4TV claiming to be Television for Gamers by Gamers when in fact they aren't even close to accurate. Then I also try to explain why I think E3 is a horrible show after the change from last year since we go so little actual coverage of the many great PC games coming this year. It's been a great year for PC games already and we are just over half way through the year.

Consoles are great yes. But they aren't not even close to being able to overtake gaming anytime soon. 5-7 years down the road? Probably. But within the next couple years? Nope. Go back and read my second paragraph and contemplate what I said in it. You will see I'm not saying PC gaming won't be huge. I was just pissed that E3 coverage was as crappy in regards to PC gaming as it was.

We have video with a female model that is well over a year old. We have no siege PvP true, but we will be in less then a month. We've also got a video of guys PvPing in beta that is again, many  months old. We've got video of ranged combat that is over a year old as well. It's not like they haven't shown most of the stuff you listed. They just haven't shown most of it since E3 a year ago, or before hand even. So it's hardly an excuse. Hell someone the other day was claiming they took mounted combat out of the game because it hadn't be shown in almost a year. A dev popped in and said they have had the mounted combat in game and set up forever. So just cause they haven't shown it (or shown it in a while) doesn't mean it's not there.

Maybe I'm not as jaded as some of you guys, but I believe what the devs say. I see absolutely no reason to just blatantly lie about this kind of thing. Especially when in 3 months we'd find out the truth anyway.

The Female Model - Yes there's been a video of one, but we haven't seen a video of someone "playing" one.  the video of guys PvPing was a beta leak and hardly official.  I'm referring to official, Funcom endorsed videos here.  The video of ranged combat was a first person shot of someone firing one arrow.  Besides that the only thing of ranged combat we've seen are arrows traveling in perfectly straight lines from some archers on a wall.

My point is.  They haven't shown video and said "Here is our current ranged combat system, and here is what it looks like, and here is how it works."  Instead they've said "Here is our ranged combat system, and here is how it should work."

Oh I dont think you're blatantly lying, and I dont think the devs are blatantly lying either.  I think they're doing a lot of talking and not enough showing though.  When you have games in the past that have completely failed, and during development devs did nothing but "say" stuff, you have to understand that your fans are going to be skeptical if you don't show them anything, but only put out a lot of text of how things should look.

My problem is that they're telling us that their PvP is brilliant, telling us that spell-weaving is revolutionary, telling us that formations are revolutionary, etc. etc. without showing us "why" these things are revolutionary, or showing us how they even work in the game.

Now I'm not saying that they're going to fail with their game.  I'm not even saying that they're game isn't as great as they claim, or as far in development as they claim.  I'm saying that if they expect fans to be as excited about their game as they are, they really need to show us something, and not just talk about it for a year + without ever showing us what they're talking about.
