OK im going for the beta for DAoC i heard it was "dying" from everyone yet it is ranked so high. Has DAoC gotten better? and if not which MMO do you suggest i play?

You're a little late. Beta ended 6 years ago.
Assuming you mean trial: Games start dying the day they are launched. DAoC certainly has a lower population than it once had, but its by no means ended. If you're going to be starting out, definitely pick one of the "Classic" servers (Ector, Lamorak, or Gareth.) They have the highest cluster population and are the easiest to get a start on, as the starter zones still have players in them. I played DAoC from launch until late 2006. I left when my guild as a whole decided it was time to move on.
There is still plenty to do, especially if you're new to the game. Play around with as many of the classes as you can, every single class is unique in its own way. There are 45 different classes if you have each one of the 7 expansions, 5 of which as now free and downloadable. Stay in the starter guild until you feel very comfortable with the game, try to find a friend in the guild that is close to your level and don't be afraid to let him know you're new.
