what Asian MMORPG to choose

right now i am on the long wait for Aion, i am looking for a free MMORPG to occupy my time and i have been looking at quite a few choices.

 

Rappelz- this one has obviously been out quite a while, but it just got up to epic IV, so i have been think about starting.

2Moons- this one looks really cool, but will it hold me over?

Archlord- i know its not really free, but is it  better then rappelz and 2Moons?

Perfect world- a chinese MMO, looks to be pretty good

Perfect World is good and 2moons looks pretty good too. I don't know anything about Archlord. Rappelz would be my last choice on the list because I found it to be a grinder and the quests get boring and repetitive. But some people like it so why not give it a try.

I too am waiting for Aion, but the only other game on my watch list is AoC.  And in my opinion there are not any good MMOs out there now to sate my appetite.  Rappelz has been around for a while, but I find myself turned off by any game that claims to be free to play. I placed Archlord in beta and I got bored with it after a couple of weeks and haven't looked back.  I haven't seen Perfect World, and I think you're best option out of what you provided would be 2Moons.  I haven't played it, but it looks to be the best option if you want something to hold you over.

 

Actually, go read a book to hold you over, that's what I've been doing (except I read too fast so now I'm left with finding a new good book to read.)

 Theyre all pretty close to the same. 2moons and perfectworld are prolly the "best" out of the two but but they both have all the traditional problems of the f2p asian grinders. Huge grind. Uninspiring gameplay towards some sort of nicer end game goal. IMO the art in both games is bad. And of course the mandatory hordes of bots.

Also neither 2moons or perfectworld are officially released in english versions yet. But they arent far off.

I know its not a Asian mmo but Dungeon Runners is is a pretty good 'free to play' game. Thats what I'm playing till the my next beta comes along.

I would say 2 moons is farther along than Perfect World. As far as I know you have to patch to get PW in english, it really depends on what you want more. 2moons has gore and nice graphics, has kind of a brutal fantasy thing goin on, Perfect World is more along the lines of an exceptional form of the generic Asian fantasy. I haven't played Pw yet, thoughts anyone?

I haven't seen Perfect World footage until today and OMG...it's beautiful. It's scenery is gorgeous beyond any other MMORPG. The combat graphics are one of the most flasy too.

But how will the Chinese Mythical environment effect American gamers? I, myself, is not so fond of the Chinese myths and legends. I love Kung-Fu movies, but I'm afraid that I may be frustrated in the various pronounciation of the names of NPC's and Towns. I do want to try it out, but I still don't know how to download the game itself. I went to the site listed on here, but whenever I clicked on ENTER...I found myself lost in a screen full of Mandarin characters. 0.o'

Is there any english instructions on how/where to download this game?

lol dude all i ever see is you flaming, ecspecially Asian games, did you mention you never played 2 Moons? Its not full of botters.....because its not even out yet! and its actually owned by an American Company I thought? You are thinking of Dekaron the Asain game its based on and from what I read they changed it up some for us westerners prefered game style (not complete mindless grind) and I've also read on their forums that it lvls fast. I haven't played it either, been waiting a long ass time for it tho.

Of the games you listed Perfect World is the best, ALOT of content there.
