I would really appreciate some insight on the games PvP system,  what aspects intrigue you the most?

Completely worthless.  the freeps hangout just inside the range of their one safe area and it's one shot death guards.  The creeps try to get them to come out.  They do sometimes and there are battles that seesaw back and forth over a bridge.  That's it.

I think in one month of PVPing as a creep, I had maybe 3 enjoyable sessions.

To the OP... oh yeh, I forgot the fun that is getting stunned, ganked, spawn camped.  Maybe that explains why the last week or so I played, there were about a couple dozen creeps wandering around asking where the nonexitant fighting was at.

It's impossible to spawn camp since you spawn inside a safe zone. If you are going to lie about the game, you should at least learn about the game as not to be so obvious.

To the OP if you really want to learn anything about the game this is not the place, go to a reputable fansite or the official site.

    I miss DAoC

    What he said!

The forums on this site are not the place to gather truthful information about many of the games listed.

Look at the earlier topics in this forum and you'll see much has changed in the past few months.  The people who actually love the game and play it hardly post here any more.  They're either off on another site or in game. :)

O btw i have found something wrong on your post on pvp  their is no spawn camps?

and ant your name agenst mmos Tos since Estrus

    here is the deff

The estrous cycle (also oestrous cycle; originally derived from Latin oestrus) comprises the recurring physiologic changes that are induced by reproductive hormones in most mammalian placental females. Humans and great apes undergo a menstrual cycle instead. Estrous cycles start after puberty in sexually mature females and are interrupted by anestrous phases. Typically estrous cycles continue until death. Some animals may display bloody vaginal discharge, often mistaken for menstruation.

so when that one guy was saying something about its time for your cycle and got banned  he was stating a fact acording to your name.

ok mmorpg ban me now wooohooooo   Lamers for the win

o maybe i wont get banned if i say i love WoW

just from the battles, LoTRO pvp is the most fun I have had in a mmo so far.    Playing a creep (evil side) and hunting down freeps (good side) can be alot of fun.   When you get a full on 50 v 50 battle going I really feel Like I am playing in middle earth.  Taking over a keep can be very challenging when you are constantly being attacked by your opponents.

The down side of course is the lack of consequences to dying, but those games never attract a ton of players that stay long term anyways.   People just don't want to devote too much time to a game that you can lose items or levels when you die.  AC darktide would probably be the benchmark in MMO pvp and it is not hardcore like that.   But if you want to log in play in a very lore specific environment and kill stuff, LoTRO delivers on that aspect.

I enjoy pvp in lotro.  Not sure what Etrus is talking about but on Silverlode, the server I play on, the 5 major keeps in the Ettenmoors change hands at least 2-3 times/day.  And there's random battles throughout all the rest of the time.  It's basically PvE+PvP in one system.  It's a lot of fun if you ask me.  Taking a keep involves killing a raid boss WHILE pvping.  Think outdoor raid bosses on WoW on a pvp server. (Man, Azuregos could be so hard to kill when fighting off alliance raids...)

All the insight you needed was with the search button. Try and use it next time, this has been discussed many times over and seems like a simple ploy for trolls to use to start a flame fest. I do wish the MODS would lock further "tell me about pvp threads"

    example

    search : pvp

Agreed, it very much feels like your a part of the war.

I won't get into details because I cant stand the naysayers on these forums, but if you are a fan of JRR Tolkiens work, then get this game and expect to be impressed.

    Nuff said :)
