Minimum requirements

Does anyone have any  idea of what those will be? I'm wondering if I'll be able to play on my current laptop, or if I should start putting money aside to buy a new gaming machine =p

The official minimum requirements are as of yet unknown.

I can garuntee you won't be able to play this game on a labtop.  Even if I'm proven wrong, you will most likely get extreme lag.  MMORPG's really are meant to be played on home machines.

i have read somewhere that some testers played on 2ghz 2cor laptops with 1,5gb ram

they said they game ran fine

Well I'm hoping that the RAM minimum requirement is 512mb and the recommended is 1GB. The game doesn't seem to be trying to break like any kind of REVOLUTIONARY GRAPHIC STANDARDS. My computer only has a 1gb and it isn't a heavy machine.. and it is a laptop. Don't have to play with settings blasting, but I do want to see a tree thats more than 10 yards away.

Considering they want alot of people to play I think the min requirments will be low. Expansions later on will be heavier.

it should run just fine with an average system.

The only foreseen/mentioned possible problem(s) would be model running in from out of clip...loading in.

but since Mythic/Ea did not take the game in a direction where you will have Huge Huge Largescale warfare, i guess they learned from many of the customers in daoc( during its heydays).... its more like wow instances now...so I would surmize almost any system (duo) can run it fine. P4(3500) systems also...should not be a problem running such a game.

If they ever add real Large Scale Warfare( before the population dies down not being able to support it, as they did with NF)....then your in for a hurtin.

I'm playing all games on my laptop. I don't have any problems with performance, lag, or whatever (only with older titles, which don't support widescreen resolution). 2 Core processor, 2GB ram and 512 MB ram on video card. I could say that it is better to play on my laptop than on many of  stationary comps.

The best thing is that I have my laptop everytime with me, whereever I go.

Mythic want to appeal to a lot of the disenchanted WOW crowd (those who play WOW's PVP) so WAR will run on computers that currently run WOW.  Now, I don't know this for fact, but it seems standard in the industry to have sliders to increase/decrease performance. I expect WAR will have them, and a computer running WOW at max now will probably be able to run WAR at medium settings... those light effects and shadows I saw in the vids are better than WOW.

Felt like reviving this thread, when I saw this podcast: http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/behindTheScenes/vidPhoneDiaries/windowopen/january_2007_h3llok1tty/view19_2007_jan.html

The game is being run on a Dell laptop...

Im also pretty sure they want to make a game, that everyone can play, not only the ones with high-end machines. But as with most mmo´s its im sure it will be a good idea to have at least 1gb ram and a "good" gfx-card

Wrong! Dell XPS M1710 running unoptimized beta better than fine.

Im sure they will make it as low as possible so they can get as many people as possible.  I kinda wish they would make it higher for reasons I wont name so I dont offended anyone.
