i havent been playing D&D for a while now, but few days ago i got a email from codemasters saying this :

However, we wanted you to know that you can now come back to DDO for FREE to sample all the new and exiting content we recently added.

 

then i loged on to my account and i still need to pay subscription to play :S im confused...

When did you get that email?  Read the whole thing.  The only email like that I've ever gotten was for a specific time window.  They opened all cancelled accounts for an extended weekend, then promptly closed them back up.

yes, i think you missed the time window. this was like 3 or 4 weeks ago?

If he got it from Codemasters, then lm guessing he/she is on the Euro servers, and they maybe having another Welcome back weekend shortly.

 

But yes, the US servers had the second one some weeks ago.

I got one of these, it was an offer for a free weekend trial to check it out. Ironically, I just went ahead and did the perpetually available 10 day free trial instead, had a blast this time (I upgraded my rig since last year, the game looks and plays much better with a new computer, heh) and started a new account....so technically their "come back and play" offer worked to get someone back in.

(Edit: I had only ever made 2nd level on my original account. I exceeded that on 3 characters already in the new account. This game just needs a good rig, I now realize.....players with older PCs should be wary, I guess)
