1. Guild Halls
Guild Hall plots are now available for purchase! They operate in a similar manner to regular housing in regards to overall construction but require new components. Building a Guild Hall will require efforts from all three spheres of Vanguard.
Crafters will need to learn brand new recipes for all three continents. There are new quests for different key parts of the Guild Hall structure, the majority which are for the mineralogist specialization. Other crafting trades will have some component recipes as well though.
Among the new recipes, a special mortar assembly recipe is introduced. This recipe requires components obtained from high level adventuring areas. Fetching these items will be very dangerous. You will want to bring a group.
Diplomats will be needed to obtain permissions to construct the Guild Halls as well. Without the correct documents obtained from the local government, the land owner will not be allowed to build a Guild Hall. However, obtaining this documentation will not be a simple task.
Finishing construction of a Guild Hall will take much more investment than building a smaller house due to the sheer size and space. However, once completed, they will be a great place for your guild to gather and store treasures, in addition to being a mark of pride for your group!
Just WOW. Look at all of the requirements for a Guild Hall! This is why people got excited in the beginging. Every sphere is involved in the process. But it all makes sense! Diplomats need documents in order to even put up a GUILD HALL. This is what all the vanbois envisioned in the begining. We wanted a world like UO but with modern MMO aspects. This 1ups UO and current MMO housing.
It's the reason why a few us still play this game. The game is hard. I actually love the grind because I can keep my Warrior geared out all the time because I will use it for awhile. Compared to Wo err let me avoid that flame war... I meant compared to modern MMO's were you can level fast with shitty gear. BTW, anyone ever play a hunter in WoW?
Ok, I am not praising this game as of yet as it seems they also took some steps back in Game Update 2. But maybe they might see this and get reminded about why everyone was actually excited about this game in the first place. Also performance got so much better but I would recomending people to give this game another shot once game update 2 get's released. I run the game with high performance settings. My specs LOL: 6600 Nvidia GT 128mb, 2.4 intel P4, 512 ram, Old sound card. Don't believe me? Go out and build a system like that it should only cost 500-700 if you can find the parts maybe even less.
