Get this or wait for EQ 2?
I need a good MMORPG. I am sick of AO and AC2 was a dissapointment. From the reviews I read it looks like Lineage II is a god game, but as an EQ addict of 2 years I dont know what to do.
Anyone out there play EQ? What do you think about Linage?

If you dont mind the grind, the end game may be worth it. The game is based solely around killing critters. To get adena = gold, for items which are very expensive. The game has pvp, but you will probably not get pkd after level 7 or so, because theres very few high level pk's, the main reason being the punishement for going red is extremly high in this game.
It really all depends if you can handle the grind or not, the graphics and sound are very nice. But the gameplay will involve killing 1000's and 1000's of beasts mindlessly to level. If you like this, then this is your game. I think this is the best review i have seen so far of Lineage 2. I suggest read this, and decide, i couldnt have wrote it better myself.

I'm a player of Lineage 2 and i'm not agree with 7Fold...
talking about the gameplay, I think there isn't another mmorpg which with you have a PvP like this one with War of Clans and Castle Sieges, get in mind if you are in a high lvl clan your clan can have his house, can siege a castle of another clan, can have some dragons pet... And about killing and killing monsters, give the name of one fantasy mmorpg where you don't have to kill and kill monsters, in Lineage there is about 15% more field with new monsters and new quests at every updates... For this is a very good Gameplay....
And it's right that the best point of this game is the Graphics and the sound...
As an ex player of lineage ][ I would say stay away from this game as far as possible. There's no need to post why as several other topics have already covered the current problems and issues with the game.
There's so many other mmorpgs out there that are simply better.

What is better in DAOC, the future E2 or FFXI for exemple, for me L2 is the same but beautifuler
. I played a lot at DAOC and I know a lot of gamer who change FFXI for L2, in DAOC the PvP was great and the clan too but in L2 it's great too but in another way and I think actually in all the FANTASY MMORPG the problem is the same and I don't see the differences with the gameplay problem

Please I realy would like to have your opinion for understand why I feel lonely when I say I love this game....
Im sure its not impossible, but I have a T3 connection and Talking Island town knocked me offline quite a few times due to severe lag and high fps issues. My video card is also 256 mB ram so I know it was not a video option.
While its probably not impossible to use it with a 56K you will certainly some problems....
