    ???

We ask every nation to join us. We will ask, and we will need, the help of police forces, intelligence services, and banking systems around the world. The United States is grateful that many nations and many international organizations have already responded -- with sympathy and with support. Nations from Latin America, to Asia, to Africa, to Europe, to the Islamic world. Perhaps the NATO Charter reflects best the attitude of the world: An attack on one is an attack on all.

Europeans are just as bad as Americans. They talk about how americans are ignorant and blah blah blah yet they all help hollywood make the big bucks by watching all things american.. hell, they even have our fast food restaurants in their country.

If you hate america, dont watch our TV or Movies, don't eat our food, don't listen to our bands and more importantly, shut the hell up. You don't see Americans dying to see the next new British Romantic Comedy.... I like everyone most of the time...

Americans and the British are more alike than we like to admit.. it's why most RADICAL muslims, not all, dislike us both. You get hatred everywhere.. it's when the hatred starts happening with countries who are similar is when the real trouble begins.

I know where England is   .

Yeah, but do you know the difference between England and the UK?

    ....oh shit, now im screwed!

     Nah, UK includes Scotland?

Ask him if he knows the difference between America and all the states in it. People who make stupid comments like that should think first. So what if he doesnt know the difference between england and the uk? You dont know the different states in amerca, or 3/4 of all the places on the earth, so why say that?

Yeah..I think i do, so STFU....I've been to the US many times and visted many different states.

Really folks, you might not beleave it, but we are winning.  Every nut job we kill there, is one less that will blow up a market in england.

Those nutjobs have a nice convenient place to operate that you folk created for them, apparently.  The previous regime kept them away, your people said.  You can't really use a situation you created to defend your position by saying look, we are here getting these guys! - most of those guys wouldn't exist in the position of enemy combatant if there wasn't something to make them want to combat, such as foreign invaders. I mean, had someone come and invaded your country for whatever reason, do you really think everyone in it would just sit back and smile? Or some would go all gungho about it and start doing the same tactics?  The world wars showed us that that is exactly how the west reacts to foreign invaders.  You just may or may not have been more thoughtful about whom you lash out against.

More likely you are actually fueling their cause, by being over there trying to determine their path in life for them, by giving their communities a reason to want to lash out etc, giving something for their youth to get silly about (in much the same way your own youth get silly about stuff).

If you really wanted to get the nutjobs who lashed out at your home territory, going for their home turf would be a much better strategy, not messing around with an unrelated country, turning it into a nice place for them to recruit people whom your invasion happened to annoy.

We the west need to think about how our actions are percieved by the rest of the world.

But again, basically it just "does not compute" for me to judge anyone who I know nothing about, and the last thing I am trying to do is start a topic to make people hate each other more due to region. As I stated my best online gamer friends are Europeans, mainly British. Thing is I met them in FPS games where this kind of baised nature simply does not exist other then your random moron.
Just didn't understand why it was so harsh in WoW, I guess because in FPS games you're too busy killing stuff.
And to SyndicateX you kind of clarified what I was experiencing, it wasn't really like just now and then but really frequent (the bashing/hate that is).
It doesn't have to compute, it's the internet.

England and America are two countries separated by a common language.

Come to think of it. America is not a country, its a nation or America is not merely a nation but a nation of nations.

Most Europeans like the American people but the government is controlled by the people who own your Democratic and Republican parties, and the same people that own the Republicans also own the Democrats.

We can see what this has done in your aggressive foreign policy, which is not only getting your people killed but others.

Americans should start being Americans again and look out for their own interests in health care, education, and economy.  Instead, so much of the American taxpayer money is for government employees, the military, and money for energy/oil.  It is scary to us to see this.

    It is not jealously.

Europeans have as much as Americans do but with more museums, less expensive travel, universal health coverage, free education.  We have more fun, too.  We do not work your long hours.  We have more vacations.

Trust me, we are not jealous of Americans. LOL!!

I am from Australia myself. I have nothing against any one from living in a certain place.

But one thing I have noticed, many people online that come from England aren't very nice people. Rude even.

Sure you can the occasional arse from America. But most Americans I meet are usually nice and go "wow cool" when I tell them where I'm from. But with people I've met that live in England, their arseholes make the American ones look insignificant and tend to pick on you based on where you are from.

Now there are nice English people as well, but I seem to encounter the bad apples more often than not.

I'm from New York, Upstate, not the city, though I've lived all over the country. I had a very good education personally, not that I gave a crap about it when I was a kid lol. Here in NY, my grand-kids are learning some cool stuff, and way before I did. But in other parts of the country the standard is far, far lower. No Child Left Behind my arse. Don't let me even start in on that subject.
As to the guy who visited relatives here in the US and they didn't know what he was talking about when he said 'lets cook something.' And there were 30 odd fast food joints in the local towns. You must have visited some relatives smack in the middle of bible-thumpin, inbred-country. Cause damn, my town is lucky to have 3 fast-food joints, and I live in a town with one of the most famous race tracks in the world. Watkin's Glen Raceway. We've also got about a dozen 'real' restaurants. That and everyone I've ever met learned to cook, so hell. Did they walk around barefoot all day and sipping moonshine too?
All of you Euro-peons should pay attention to this quote.  You know that American arrogance you hate so much?  It comes from guys like this who like to bolster their own self esteem by telling themselves that they are better than other people.

And see, we do it to each other too.

People in the North East are all gay, wine sipping, pacifist, commies who think that the height of intellectualism is pissing thousands of dollars away to buy paint splatters on canvas and then standing around for hours discussing the angst of the "artist" who made that "painting".

People in the South are all uneducated, inbred, barefoot, rednecks who drive around in pick-up trucks shooting guns out the windows.

People on the West coast are all gay, tofu munching, vegatarian, space cadets who are just waiting for the mothership to come and rescue them.

People in the central states are all bible thumping, inbred,....well....they're rednecks too.

See how fun that is?  You Euro-peons just don't understand American culture.  Talkin' smack about each other is part of the American way.  See, when we give you shit we're just including you in the fun.  When we start being respectfull and polite...that's when you really need to worry.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go buy some lingerie and a revolver for my sister.  We're celebrating our 10th wedding aniversery tonight and I have to get her presents wrapped and hidden before our kids find them.  Oh, I also need to brew some more moonshine and stop by at the church to pray.

HAHA you have inbred redneck relatives.    I peed a little when I read this.

As for the American ego and the belief that we are better then everyone else.  Trust me the individual American believes he/she is better then any other American.  So if you feel bad because you are being looked down upon perk up because you're not that special.

The problem is look at the people that are being looked up to and idolized in this country.  You need to take most people in general with a grain of salt.

I'm not fond of the US government myself. I dislike their actions over the past few years.

The people are usually fine, I get along well with Americans most of the time. It's just the odd person who is arrogant enough to think 'US has the best army in the world, etc. and that they are superior beings to any one else' gets on my nerves. >.>

thank you! Apparently, because I was born in America, I deserve to be disliked by complete strangers who know nothing about me? sounds reasonable...

Obviously, every American completely agrees with every decision our government makes. We were actually considering dropping that whole "voting" thing.

I'm an American soldier stationed in Germany, (and for the record I never voted for Bush, or anyone he ran against...they are all bafoons) and this whole Euro vs. American nonsense is just that, a pile of rubbish.  And it pains me personally to see SO MUCH ignorance from both sides of the table...No one people is better than anyone else, we all live in this hellhole called Earth.

But to the comment about so much tax payer money is spent for government employees, military, yadda yadda yadda...I make .83 cent an hour...averages out to about that.  A large "chunk" of tax payer money let me tell you.  Not only that but the bradley's and tanks my unit utilizes still have RPG damage and IED damage from Iraq when they went there back in 2002.  And for the record, wasn't it Caligula (old Emperor of Rome, might've heard of him) who took the Roman taxpayers money to build 2 MASSIVE ships in a lake, one a temple and the other a sort of palace.  I know the history gap is extreme but we've brought up tax payers and history as arguable points.

I don't know how many times I've  found myself in a civil debate over European rights for the individual and American rights for the individual.   Something has got to be wrong though, where in the U.S. we rant and rave and rally, and carry our stupid little signs protesting this and that...And over here people flat out riot.  Last major historical riot in the U.S. was April 26th, 1992 (Sublime song anyone?)  Save for a few college riots and smaller instances.  But seriously on TV here in Germany, if there's a riot...every news channel is in the thick of it.  Wait a second, as I think about it...isn't Germany the U.S.A of Europe?  Don't say no because I heard Chancellor Merkel say it on the news one day, and walking down the street will make you feel as if you're kind of back in the states, except the buildings are from like before all of us were born combined LOL.  The kids here are so clueless about what fashion is and isn't.  They wear bandanas of the blue and red color to be, "Gangster."  Raise one pant leg and lower the other one. (All things I couldn't do, even if I wanted to, in my High school due to the amount of gang activity my H.S. experienced.  Yet here it seems to be a cool thing...not cool if THEY knew where it came from, and it's no 50 cent video.)

People don't like American's for a lot of reasons, I could tell you a couple of my own personal reasons.  But mostly it boils down to our individualistic states of minds.  Which is bad in a lot of ways, arrogance is a word that describes us pretty well.  But If we didn't want to be individuals we wouldn't have fought with Britain back in the Revolutionary War.  And still to this day if France was to get attacked hypothetically  ( Yet Again...) you know the U.S. would be there to help just like WW2 and WW1 and whenever else.  But don't let me forget our past allies and our modern allies...the U.S. never has done anything alone regardless of what you all may or may not think...and half of what we've accomplished would never have happened if it weren't for our historical and modern day nation friends.

The world is so much different than when our grandfathers and grandmothers fought each other.  Today we live in a world where we can have differing points of view and still be friends/allies.  A lot of the world owes a lot of thanks to the U.S. and will forever be indebted to them, but the coin has two sides and the Americans have just as much  if not more to owe the rest of the world.  But when it comes down to the big pictures happening in the world right now, everyone gets pissed off if the U.S. just sits there and watches from the sidelines,  people almost count on the U.S. to be the without a doubt, opposing party to whatever ugly snake rears his head.

Oil...blah I wipe my rear end with the nonsense...Historical grudges...pfft...that's all SO easy to say when you've never been in a place where people don't have a voice for themselves.  Where just because you are Sunni, Shi'Ite or Kurd you are instantly targetted, blown up at markets, soccer games etc....no it didn't happen as much before we went there because SoDamn Insane (Pun Intended) would've just gassed another 600,000 or so people to just shut them up and not worry about it...But I will never forget the smiles on the kids faces or the hope in their mother's eyes when we rolled into town and flat out pwned (lightening the topic up a bit) whatever came at us.  (My unit at least)

Now before the flamage starts let me first say that I consider you all a sort of friend, we all share a common interest and that is MMORPG's...I've met so many interesting, diverse, intelligent, down right funny people in Germany and while I toured through Iraq/Afghanistan that I honestly don't need to post this long novel to explain myself, my eyes have seen more than what most will have a chance to see their entire lives.  But for some of you out there who just can't get enough of a pointless debate, I fed you the fuel just create the fire.  But in the end you'll be the one getting burned, American, Asian or European.  We might be separated by language, skin color, religion blah blah blah...But we all can be pretty downright ignorant...so exactly where are we so different?

Oh and another thing for the record... As someone said before, we are not truly full blood Americans.  The only people who can claim that are Native Americans.   I myself was born in Naples, Italy and am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Spanish.  Ignorance, Racism, and downright stupidity doesn't bet on success within a particular group of people...It's been there since HUMANS could communicate.  And that's what we are, Humans...LOL...when E.T. and his interstellar badboys start blowing up entire cities with a blue lazer...then we'll see if we give 2 bits of anything about what country we come from.

We are not that different, I mean in all seriousness, we all found MMORPG.com didn't we?  That shows we all have at least something in common.
