I get a warning for saying the truth? Common folks, call a rose a rose and a weed a weed. Missing work so you can play a game is just stupid.

Yeah basically if you praise a game a mod likes or dislike a game a mod hates, then you are ok....if you like a game a mod hates or hate a game a mod likes...you might as well prepare yourself for a nice big warning...or better yet a ban. Just learn to adjust. Nothing you can do. /reroll?

That is purely asinine. The warning he received was probably based on flaming. Read the RoC and when complaining, refer to the stickied moderation thread.
I read the post he received a warning for and unless he edited it there was no reason for a warning.

A good way to avoid banning is to avoid controversial threads. Like the America vs Europe threads. Stay away from that kind of stuff and you'll be ok.

actually it's kinda been downhill for about a year. I think they fired the guy who was handing out bannings for anything bad said about VG...
There used to be a whole lot of free reign back in 2004, with the only off-limits topic being "WoW VS EQ2"... which took up like 90+% of the pub back then.

Wow, unfortunately...a lot of ppl here dislike the moderation around here. That's a sign!
However, I think this topic is in the wrong section. 0.o' But, I have seen a lot of members here flaming and bashing alot...and nothing happens to them. Heck, some ppl here seem a little racist and nothing happens to them. So if really good posters are getting banned and these guys aren't...then there's a really BIG moderation problem here.
I...however, don't know/haven't seen any Mods in action. But I think I'll be quiet before I get banned too. 0.o'

Basically you can't get banned for seeming to be racist, untill you act like one.
I once got a warning for going offtopic, I said the guy was incompetent, got banned....ah yes, cheerful forums these are.
Im not gonna say much, other than I dont create topics anymore, just reply.

LOL. I got a warning for saying there is more content in a 8 bit console RPG than there is WoW.
There was cases when people that were members/posters longer than 3 years got perma-banned , for almost no reason at all.
Sorry to say , mods here often go over limits ...
But this is the biggest site dedicated to MMOs , so i guess there is no choice but to eat their dish...

I can understand that many of you may be frustrated when your thread is locked, post deleted, etc. especially when this results in a warning or ban, but there is, honestly, no big conspiracy to stop people from saying good or bad things about any game. The problem comes when a person can not voice their opinion in a manner respectful of others.
If you find that you can not give an opinion on a topic without calling another person names than there is a good chance that your post will be removed. If you can give your opinion respectfully and back it up then the chances of a problem are greatly diminished.

If you feel you were warned or banned incorrectly there are proper channels to go through, none of which include this board. If you have a problem e-mail community[at]mmorpg.com and bring it up there (once again, remember to keep it respectful.)
