Tried Daoc

Really wasnt that impressed. Game seemed boxy cluttered and slow. I may give it the full 14 days but the first 3 days really turned me off and the graphics are so so.

So is it worth it to keep playing or should I just wait for war?

Considering how old the game is, the graphics are pretty good.   Its upto to play or not.  If you on fre trial you really cant experience everything.  Like Catacombs instances. Aurulite gear and the such.  Also other classes that were brought into the game via new expansions.

I still think its fun to play

The first year (Oct. 2001-2002) was the best MMOGing experience I've ever had. It was just too good to be true. Too bad you weren't there.

DAoC has changed drastically.  I'm still playing in my 6th year, but nothing will compare to that first year. Nothing.

I have to agree. That first year up to Darkness Falls was absolutely amazing. 'Nough said.

Is it still worth it to give it a shot today???

You really should never say you have "tried" DaoC until you have actaully been out in RvR. It is an MMO with a goal, and playing it without even trying that goal is like buying food and look at it, then throw it away before tasting.
