Hey I was wondering if anyone knew of I free online strategy game (in the same category of age of mythology, age of empires, etc.) I know this doesnt fall into the mmo"rpg" category, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of a couple cause I would like to take a break from the normal grinding & questing

I think to think of EvE online as a strategy game. You have to learn how to manage and econemy and you can learn how to be a good trader or a loyal military man or a proud space pirate. the game takes alot of strategy escpecialy once you go into the big leuges out in 0.0 space. of course your probebly looking for a strat game like warcraft 1-3 or like star craft.
I am sorta looking for starcraft, warcraft sorta strategy, But I think I might give EvE online a try

one advertises on this site, Its Called Darkness and Light or something. It doesnt have a persistant world but your characters are persistant and you level em up, join games in an rts style and battle it out. Warcrafty since its fantasy :P
Shattered Galaxy is probably the first mmorts and I think still around, more Starcrafty since its sci fi.
Saga thing looks kinda cool, except the booster pack troops thing makes you think that you'll have to spend more than a subscirption fee to compete, thats how it usually is in these payment plan situations.
is shaterd galaxy free 2 play? cause I cant seem to tell....
Yes, theres a free to play option, if u get a subscitpion you can have better units i think and gold items, but its fairly enjoyable without paying tbh.
