if you're into the flying, check out A Perfect World. It won't be as polished as Aion, but I think it's free to play and I've heard decent things about it. . . should be released soon.
Me and my wife play Perfect World on the chinese server,and it is a VERY good game.
We enjoy it as much as any of the p2p games we have played (and trust me, we have played a LOT of p2p games)
PW is like what would happen if Lineage 2 and WoW had a baby (and the baby got all the good traits

companies try to pass off asian f2p game crapfests as pay to play in the west. So I doubt they would pass up the opportunity to charge for a very hyped game like this one.
lol airspell doesnt have anything good to say about any game i dont think =/. this game will probably do very well and i will play it and i will play aoc so just because you think its a "crapfest" or whatever doesnt mean others wont enjoy it stop throwing ur commie ideals to other people plz.

Remember that this is a topic about AION not PERFECT WORLD. Go gossip about that on a different forum. As for the monthly fee, expect one, its an MMORPG, and most of them have them. I can't think of a good MMORPG that doesn't have one, I guess guild wars is ok, but thats the only one i can think of.

Yes im guessing it will be the normal 15 a month, id be suprised if they went with anything else. Thought lower is ok with me

I'm guessing that it's going to have a monthly fee. In a way I am perfectly fine with that though, because it means that the servers will be able to be maintained and that customer support etc. will be up-to-scratch if they want to maintain their player base. I will definitely be playing as soon as it is released!

one thing i have learnt by playing mmos is that those that are f2p suck alot mre than p2p ones.. not all p2p games are good but at least in p2p there is a better tech support, better servers, better maintaniece(sorry cant spell it lol) times and less children. games that require montly payments usually have a nice community of respectable adults and of course there are more PLers in p2p games. in the uk monthly payments are usually around £7-£12 which is really cheap
well i heard it will be f2p with cash shop.it would be logical to make cash shop,because that earns more money than p2p.and aion is a korean game,and i think the english version will be almost the same as the korean.if it starts with p2p, i think it will be cash shop after a few months
Alot of people want P2P so there will be no kiddies getting in but look at WOW it is full of em and that is P2P so i think that the way this market in general should go is a F2p cash shop thingy cause im a tight arse and plus my missus will only allow me a little money to spend each month
so i cant afford to play all the good games lol. jk

Buy the game, and you can play without monthly fees.
god , Aion is out of my list if it does not have a monthly fee. For obvious reasons.

Would love it if it was Buy to play like Guild Wars,
But I dun mind either to p2p as long as it not that expensive,
So far all the games from NCSOFT are doin great and awesome =D
I've seen a few people pass this around, but there is absolutely no evidence anywhere that's it's going to be like this. It's far more likely to be P2P at 10-15$ a month. A buy to play game cannot be created the same way this game is, see GW..

Guild Wars is a good games =D
every games has it Pro and Con,
I just dislike those kept bashin WoW or GW better,
would prefer a strong and helpful community in game
It would make a more perfect and better place to be =D
well i hope its P2P cause like its been mentioned several times. the servers will be maintained better as well as customer support which might not be true look at wow crappy customer support for a P2P game but i think aion will be diffrent i look forward to playing it
