Exactly my point, the number 300000, is just there to prove, that even if half of the people got banned once, it's still nearly impossible to get them all to vote ( if you'd read up, someone suggests this ), that's why I suggested taking 100 members as a representative of the average.

Ah. I thought you were saying 300 000 of everyone here was from a re made account. Whatever.

In my opinion, they are fair. I've received bans a couple of times since I joined up, and I deserved them. Recently however, I got an email warning from MMORPG.com for something that I thought was truely unfair. I responded to the email stating this and to my surprise, I got an email back agreeing with me. The warning was removed, and the response was very polite. The mods are people too, and if you have an issue with how they're doing their jobs, why not just try to talk to them? If you're making sense, they'll most likely listen to you.

I've recieved 3 bans , two of them were false, but mailing them didn't help me
ok uraziel i m guessuing english is your second language then if the word disgruntled exisits its basically an extention of the word gruntled ( a word thats not in common use these days ) disgruntled means to be unhappy with something gruntled means to be happy with it . for a bit of fun i thought i d bring that up . of course humour is universal . it was just a light comment not be taken seriously which unfortunatly you did

Anytime I've been banned, it's been because I allowed myself to be baited into an argument, hence the "it was my own fault." I should have known better than to engage in those threads, and my big mouth got the best of me...
There's really no point to debate the fact whether mods are fair or not...its their website, they can do what they want. There is an appeal process which works in some situations, and fails in others I suppose.
For the record, I received a one day ban for flaming... did I deserve it? Yes.... have I seen others flame worse and get away with it? Sure, but no big deal...I was still wrong, regardless whether the policy was implemented evenly.

It has nothing to with it, I know what they mean
And are you gruntled yet? The "dis" of disgruntled is not the same as the "dis" of "dismayed." It means "completely", and so "gruntled," just as it sounds, is an old word that means "grumbling." Today, however, "gruntled" has found its way into dictionaries as a word in its own right. If you look at the origin, you will see that it gives "gruntled" as a back-formation from "disgruntled." People assumed that "disgruntled" was a negative and invented the word "gruntled." Similar back-formations add new words to the English dictionary every year. One of the most well-known as a back-formation is "edit, " which arose because the word "editor" sounds as if it should mean "one who edits."
but look at how you build a sentence. It's one big block of text, with awful spelling and worse Grammar.

Ok, I suppose I have to step in here at this point and say a few things.
First of all: The moderators on this site are here on a voluntary basis, and are not employees of the site. To my mind, they do an excellent job of moderating these forums. That being said, occasionally, mistakes happen. We have an appeals process, and many people use it. Sometimes, we discover that the moderator has made a mistake, and we correct it. Other times, we find that the moderator was justified, and the ban or warning stands. There's no mystery here, that's the way it is.
Second: If you have any kind of proof of moderator bias, I suggest you contact our Community Manager at community@mmorpg.com with said proof, otherwise, you are needlessly slandering the volunteer moderators and our site.
Third: We're not malicious here. We want everyone who comes in here to have a good time. That being said, yes, we have rules just like everywhere else. If you can't or don't follow them, we have to take action.
Fourth: If you feel that another member is breaking the rules, we have that handy report post tool that allows you to let our moderators know about the problem. They will then assess the situation. Sometimes action is justified, other times it isn't. Each report is examined on a case by case basis with no consideration going to number of posts, length of membership, etc.
Fifth: Polls of this nature are never representative of the entire community. Many members will not likely read this post, nor vote in the poll.
I have one warning which I thought was harsh, I think some of the times its like whether or not certain posters may have a grudge against you and those people can eagily watch to report post if you ever trip up. That aside, the mods themselves I think are okay and can't say I have had any real problems with them being here like two years. They seem fair and I think you are allowed to freely express your opinions here.
although i tend to agree with some of what stradden says . a poll of this sort is nt ever going to be entirly representative of the community but the more votes there are it will give some sort os snapshot as to whats going on . maybe there needs to be a more official version of this poll on the site or access to something similar (not meaning an appeal sytsem etc something a little more easy to use ) so the site owners can get a larger perspective if a problem exisits or not . i m not entirely certain one does but if it does then maybe it is something that would be worth addressing ?

Nah I'm just exaggerating to prove a point, but as usual I'm putting it down all wrong and it causes a bit of trouble ^^

I dunno why they don't use QPS: Quit Posting Spam, but I think that in the early internet years there were no actual word for spam and it kinda stuck.

Actually, it means Quoted For Truth. Just to clear that up.
