Is there a post(s) somewhere out that that details how to increase system performance with this game?

    This is a pretty comprehensive list of all the graphics settings ingame. If your low on RAM it's probably best to disable the particle fx for all other players (this is in the advanced settings), and reduce the character detail to medium at least. I'm currently only on 1gb of ram (soon to be doubled thankfully o/ )and during the rikti invasions the lag is outrageous.
